First,
Let's center ourselves with the four-fold breath.
To do the four-fold breath,
Just inhale for four counts,
Hold for four counts,
Exhale for four counts,
And hold for four counts.
Let's do this four times.
And inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Come back to normal breathing.
In your mind's eye,
Begin to notice your own body.
Not flesh and bone,
But an outline of light.
Within this light,
You see countless threads.
Some are luminous and smooth.
Others are knotted,
Frayed,
Or looped around you many times over.
These threads are the lines of connection to experiences,
Beliefs,
Emotions,
And moments that have marked you.
Some feed you.
Some bind you.
Notice where the threads gather most densely.
They might wrap your shoulders,
Nod at your stomach,
Loop endlessly around your ankles.
Some may stretch far out beyond your sight,
Tethered to people,
Places,
Or times.
Others coil in on themselves,
Heavy and unmoving.
Without judgment,
Simply see them.
Notice which ones draw your attention,
Wanting to be seen and examined.
Notice which ones are avoiding being noticed,
Or that you are avoiding noticing.
See how some constrict your breath,
Your movement,
Your light,
While others uplift and empower.
Bring your attention to one knot.
It doesn't have to be the largest or most complicated.
Reach for it with your hands in your mind's eye.
As you touch it,
You feel not just its texture,
But the echo of when it was tied.
A word spoken.
A decision made.
A look that stayed with you.
Breathe into it.
On your exhale,
Imagine the fibers loosening just slightly,
Not ripped apart,
Simply given space.
Trace one thread from its knot.
Follow it back through yourself,
Noticing where it weaves into you and where it leads you.
If it leads far away,
Let yourself glimpse what is at the other end.
A person,
A memory,
A place,
An old role you once had.
If the thread feels ready,
Gently unwind it from where it binds you.
Lay it down at your feet.
Notice the lightness,
The shift of energy that comes,
However small.
Choose another cluster or area to examine.
Reach for it.
Touch it,
Feeling its unique connection to you.
Inhale.
And exhale,
Feeling the fibers loosen slightly.
Choose a thread and follow it.
If it is ready,
Gently unwind it from where it binds you.
Lay it at your feet.
And again.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
The goal today isn't about working through every thread.
Many will remain,
And that is okay.
We aren't trying to convince ourselves that we can't do it.
We are trying to convince ourselves free,
But rather make space in the weave for breath,
Light,
And movement.
As you work,
You might notice that some of the luminous,
Smooth threads seem to grow brighter.
Connections that nourish you,
Gaining more room to flow.
Let's do a few more.
Again.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
Again.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
Again.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
When you followed some of the threads,
You might have found them connected to other structures of energy that might have been too large,
Abstract,
Or even scary to interact with.
That is okay.
It is good to just be aware that those are there.
As you continue unweaving the threads that are accessible,
You will continue increasing your own power and light,
Which will make those things more available to be approached and worked through in the future.
Let's do a few more.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
Again.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
Again.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
Final one.
Choose.
Reach.
Touch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Follow.
Unwind.
Lay it at your feet.
When you feel ready,
Gather the threads you've unwound and hold them in your hands.
They are not trash.
They are part of your story.
Let's together into golden light of wisdom in your hands.
Bring them to your chest and let the wisdom they carried rejoin your energy in a form that can feed you rather than bind you.
Thank you for joining me today.
We offer our deepest reverence to the forces seen and unseen who have aided us here.
With love,
We set them free to return to their realms,
Their blessings still with us.
So mode it be.
