Find somewhere quiet where you can sit or lay down.
Whichever is most comfortable for you.
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Lift your shoulders to your ears.
Hold them there for three seconds.
And then release them.
Feel the tension slipping away.
Bring your attention to your face.
If you are able.
Scrunch up your forehead.
Your eyes.
Your mouth.
Every muscle in your face and hold it for a moment.
Now completely soften and relax your face muscles.
Let your jaw drop to a comfortable position.
Now,
If you can,
Gently squeeze your fists.
Glutes and toes.
Hold again for a moment.
And then completely release.
As you relax your muscles,
Imagine any stress,
Tension or weight that you are carrying pouring out of your fingertips and toes.
Back into the earth where it will be recycled and grow into something happy,
Light and new.
Bring your attention to the support beneath you.
Imagine this support is a big white cloud.
You are sinking further and further into this soft,
Cozy cloud.
And as its light and softness surrounds you,
You feel safe.
You feel comfort Do you feel loved?
The cloud gently lays you down on a lush mossy green field scattered with white daisies.
As you lay amongst the flowers,
You notice a gentle breeze sweeping over your skin and a fresh floral aroma in the air,
Bringing you a deep sense of relaxation.
Slowly,
You sit up,
And as you look around,
You see stretches of rich green fields,
Trees,
And flowers.
You're alone,
But you feel safe.
Nothing is required of you here.
You don't need to be anywhere.
It is just you and this natural safe haven.
You feel happy.
Relaxed and peaceful.
As you admire your surroundings,
You notice a single,
Large,
Beautiful tree in the distance.
You start walking towards it.
As you get closer,
You notice that it is covered in pale pink blossom,
So thick that it is hard to see the tree's branches.
You have nearly reached the blossom tree now,
And you are greeted with tiny pink petals dancing on the gentle breeze,
Showering you with a warm invitation to come and sit by the trunk.
You find a soft mossy knoll at the base of the trunk and take a seat.
You let the trunk support your back,
Resting comfortably into its smooth,
Deep grooves.
As you rest,
The sky's hues ease into soft peach and lilac,
And the breeze becomes still.
Blossoms still fall gracefully from the tree,
Cocooning you with a soft and slow waterfall of petals.
You feel safe you feel happy.
You feel serene.
You can return here whenever you need to.
You close your eyes and you let yourself drift into a peaceful sleep.
I invite you to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Take a deep breath in and out.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes and in your own time become aware of the space that you are in.
Thank your mind and body for this act of self-care.
And carry the peace with you.
Have a wonderful day.
