Belly Breathing
I found that belly breathing (diaphragmatic breathing) is a highly effective way to calm my nervous system, lower my heart rate, and improve my somatic awareness. After one practice of more than two minutes, I feel relaxed, energized, and much calmer than before. Belly breathing pulls fresh air all the way down to the base of the lungs, allowing for a massive increase in oxygen absorption and carbon dioxide release without requiring me to breathe faster. Join me for this simple belly breathing practice and begin to feel more at ease.
