Contemplations on My Heels by Sol Lin I will take a closer look at myself. I hope you do too. I love how yummy radical self-trust can be. When trust doesn't announce itself. As humans it's not always easy to trust. To stand steadily. To stay with ourselves while the outcome is still unknown. We're often called to trust the process. Blindly. Patiently. Sometimes without reassurance. And that is not simple. So I find myself wondering. How do we build that trust muscle? Is it a muscle at all? Or is trust something more complex than that? Maybe trust isn't a skill to master. But a relationship to grow. Because trusting calls something forward in us. It calls for vulnerability. For surrender. And at the same time, For strength. It invites us to remain open without collapsing. To stay present without controlling. That makes trust something shaped over time. Through disappointment. Through being broken. And through being quietly rewarded. Trust takes time. And it's never generic. Situation differ. People differ. And so does the way trust wants to be met. Yet, When you do trust, When you truly do, The way it meets you back can be beyond expectation. Not always immediately. Not always dramatically. But often in a way that feels steady. Grounded. Right. We often think trust looks like certainty. Like knowing. Like confidence. Confidence that fills the room. Like a voice that is sure and unshaken. But the deepest trust I know doesn't look like that at all. It doesn't convince. It doesn't perform. It's quiet. It's grounded. And it doesn't need witnesses. Trust doesn't rush ahead of itself. It doesn't demand guarantees. It simply stays. In the body. In the stance. In the choice to remain present. Even when clarity hasn't arrived yet. Trust doesn't need proof. It stands. Where in your life are you being called to trust without announcing it? This was my contemplation. On my heels.
