Reflection In The Mirror

Sometimes the person we see in the mirror feels familiar in a way photographs cannot quite capture.

In this short contemplation, SoulLyne reflects on the subtle difference between how we see ourselves and how we appear when the moment is captured.

Contemplations on My Heels by Sol Linn I will take a closer look at myself. I hope you do too. I love how yummy radical self-trust can be. This is Sol Linn speaking to you wearing my heels, Partly because of the way it makes me feel. This is the reflection I will keep in my mind for the rest of the day. Getting up, Prepare yourself for the day. There you are, Complete, Happy, Content, The reflection in the mirror that you see. You decide to capture this image by taking a picture. Now the picture doesn't quite capture the reflection you see. Delete, Delete, Delete. Because this is not the reflection that I really see. Look in the mirror again. Yes, This is how I see me and this is the way I like it to be. I choose not to keep checking my reflection in a mirror or window I may pass. I prefer to keep that reflection in my mind and move confidently forward for everyone to see. This is the reflection I will keep in my mind for the rest of the day. This was my contemplation on my heels.
