Greetings beautiful soul.
If you can,
Take a moment to pause this meditation and step outside.
Let your bare feet touch the grass or find a quiet spot near a window where you can see the sky,
Feel the breeze,
Or maybe even hear the birds outside chirping.
Let yourself arrive.
This time is for you and for her,
Mother Earth,
The divine feminine in her most ancient and abundant form.
So to start off our practice today,
We'll gently begin to close the eyes or find a soft gentle gaze right past the nose and begin by gently bringing your awareness to your breath.
Inhale through the nose for two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale through the mouth for two,
Three,
Four.
Again,
Inhale through your nose,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale through the mouth,
Two,
Three.
Inhale deeply.
Let it fill your belly and then exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension that you notice in the body.
Do that one more time and imagine you're breathing in the breath of the Earth herself.
Her wind,
Her warmth,
Her wisdom.
And when you're ready,
Let your breath fall into a natural rhythm.
Feel the air touch the tip of your nose and gently expand your lungs.
Let it be effortless.
As you sit here,
Feel the pull of gravity rooting you down and imagine golden roots extending from your tailbone or your feet into the rich cool soil of the Earth.
With each breath you may notice those roots growing deeper down through the rocks,
The minerals,
And the memory.
And into the womb of the Earth herself.
This is the sacred ground of the Divine Feminine.
She's not only the soil but the source.
The mountains are her bones.
The rivers is the blood moving through her.
The breeze,
Her breath.
In the black,
You feel her.
Even when you forget to listen.
Even when the world moves too fast.
Gently begin to bring the right hand to your heart.
The left hand to your belly.
With your next full breath in,
Really receive her love.
With your exhale,
Send her yours.
Breathe in.
I honor you.
She is the mother of cycles,
Of creation,
Of breath.
She reminds us you do not have to bloom all the time.
Because there's wisdom in the stillness.
There's purpose in the pause.
There is divinity in your softness.
Feel her now beneath you.
Surrounding you.
Maybe you feel the sun touching your skin.
Or the breeze brushing your cheek.
Really lean into Mother Earth's embrace.
And excel it with a sound.
As if it feels so good.
Bring your palms together at your heart.
Bow your head gently and whisper out loud or away.
Thank you,
Mother Earth.
Carry this connection with you today.
And how you move,
How you speak.
You are her,
Mother Earth.
And she is you.
Happy Earth Day.
