Welcome to this guided visualization called The Mystic.

My name is Cheyenne and I will be guiding you through this journey to reconnect with your inner wisdom for an important life question.

Before we begin,

Find a comfortable place either sitting or lying down where you won't be disturbed.

Once in position we'll start by taking a few slow deep breaths into the belly and with each exhale allow yourself to release any tension you're holding in the body.

We'll begin breathing now.

Now that you're settled in we will begin the journey.

You're in a beautiful valley on a summer morning.

You smell the clean air.

The sky is intensely blue and flowers surround you in every direction.

What sorts of flowers do you see?

You see a particular flower that you love and move towards it.

Slowly you reach down and pick it up examining it closely.

What does it look like?

You bring it closer to your nose.

What does it smell like?

You feel a cool breeze across your face and look down to notice the clothes you're wearing.

What clothes are you wearing today?

You feel a readiness in your body for a challenge today.

As you look around you see a mountain towering high into the clouds.

It's close to you through a forest and you sense it would be a difficult and dangerous climb.

Your intuition tells you that there's something special waiting for you at the top of the mountain.

You choose to trust that feeling and take the challenge.

You enter deeper in the valley towards the forest.

You've now entered the forest and sense the cool dark atmosphere.

It seems that no human has passed through this place in a long time.

You look up at the giant towering trees which now cover the mountain peak.

Take a look around.

What do you see in the forest?

You venture deeper into the forest and hear a rustle in the bushes.

You hesitate for a second.

Then you hear it again,

But closer.

Your senses are alert,

Not knowing if you're in danger.

To your surprise,

An animal bursts out of the dense undergrowth.

Your heart's jumping through your chest and you take a moment to observe the animal.

You see it's not threatening and your fear starts to turn to peace and curiosity.

What animal is it?

What details do you notice?

You lock eyes for the first time and sense you've known each other for a lifetime.

Cautiously,

You move towards the animal and reach out your hand.

As you touch the animal with affection,

It responds with approval.

How does it feel to encounter this special animal?

What does your connection feel like?

Your new friend moves excitedly and gestures for you to follow it.

With a big smile and trust in your heart,

You follow the animal,

Climbing higher through the forest towards the mountain.

As the hills get steeper and the forest darker,

Your animal looks back,

Reassuring you to keep going.

It reaches the base of the mountain and sits down,

Smiling at you.

You realise this is where you must part ways and continue the journey alone.

With a touch of affection,

You thank your animal for guidance.

It turns around,

Disappearing into the dark forest.

You shout out thank you,

Knowing it won't be the last time you meet.

How does it feel to see your animal disappear into the forest?

You look up at the mountain and all you can see is steep,

Jagged rock.

You hesitate for a moment,

Knowing this will be a difficult climb.

But you've come this far and feel determined to push forward.

You begin the ascent,

Grabbing on the steep rocks with your hands and feet.

You feel the physical demand on your body and your muscles.

You feel the physical demand on your body and your muscles and start to sweat.

With each elevated step,

The air is fresher and cooler.

All the activity of the forest has now turned to silence.

You're now entering a new chapter of your journey.

Your climb brings you into a cloud.

Everything is white and you can only see mist which consumes you.

You proceed carefully,

Barely able to see your hands on the rocks in front of you.

You can no longer see anything above or below you.

You blindly make your way to find a ledge and decide to take a break.

How does it feel to be in this place,

Blind in every direction?

For the first time,

You start to doubt yourself.

Did I make the right choice?

What if I was wrong?

What if I was wrong?

You then remember your animal friend.

It was a clear sign that brought you here.

You reassure yourself that you're on the right path and must trust it.

With a second wind of energy,

You continue to find what waits for you at the top.

You push on with grit.

You're not turning back now.

The clouds begin to dissolve and you can see the blue sky again.

Everything up here is much brighter.

The sun is shining and glistening off the rocks and the soft clouds below.

Climbing is easier now and you feel a sense of relief that you're coming to the end.

You thank yourself for facing this difficult challenge.

As you reach the peak,

You become aware of how high you are.

You can see all the richness of the valley below,

Including the forest,

Rivers and shadows of clouds dancing on fields.

You pause,

Take a deep breath and look around.

What else do you see in the distance?

At the peak,

The silence of the world below is complete.

You marvel at this wonderful sight and realise how small you stand in the face of nature.

Far off on the mountain,

You see someone sitting and meditating.

You slowly begin to approach this strange person.

You instantly know it's someone wise and loving,

Ready to listen to what you have to say and tell you what you want to know.

They appear as a small luminous point in the distance.

You feel a rush of energy as you start to approach this mystic being with wonder and curiosity.

You have noticed each other now.

They turn their attention to you,

Waiting for you to join them.

You feel a rush of energy as you approach this mystic being.

You feel the presence of this person,

Giving you joy and strength.

You see the wise being's face with a radiant smile and feel a glow of loving warmth and compassion.

You are now facing each other and you look deeply into the mystic's eyes and see the universe bursting with life.

How do you feel in their presence?

What do you notice in your body being here?

They pause for a moment with a soft gaze before slowly parting their lips with a gentle warm voice.

They tell you that you can share any problem or ask any question you wish.

Think about what you want to know and when you are ready,

Ask the mystic.

Once you finish speaking,

They pause and reflect on what you said,

Closing their eyes in meditation.

Then after a long pause,

They open their eyes with a sparkle and respond.

You listen carefully to what they have to say.

You thank the wise mystic and feel a sense of relief from your answer.

They give you a blessing for your hard journey and just like magic,

They vanish.

You find a viewpoint over the valley buzzing with this new insight.

You decide to meditate on the message before you head down the mountain.

In quiet contemplation,

You close your eyes with a gentle smile at what you discovered.

You send gratitude to your animal and to the mystic,

Knowing you're always being looked after.

With a new understanding,

You begin the descent from the mountain back to reality.

You have a new found peace and knowing deep in your heart.

With your eyes still closed,

You look up at the sky.

With your eyes still closed,

Start to come back into the room.

Bring your awareness to where you are and what's around you.

Notice what feels different in your body.

Congratulations,

You have completed your journey to meet the mystic.

When you are ready,

Slowly open your eyes and both journal and draw what you have discovered.
