Welcome friends.
My name is Kathy.
I am a spiritual intelligence coach and a
leadership consultant.
I have a passion for supporting people in the ability to
behave with wisdom and compassion while maintaining inner and outer peace
regardless of the situation.
I am so pleased you have joined me or are
joining me again.
I have created a series of mindfulness practices that we can use
to support ourselves towards healthy aspirations.
These are a series of
affirmations.
Perhaps you have heard of the word affirmations and even have used
affirmations in your regular practice.
Affirmations are statements that might
be true or might be aspirational and are intended to help us form a positive
mindset.
However,
I found a process called affirmations that has a similar intent
but uses a slightly different process.
I discovered this from an author named
Noah St.
John.
The logic is that as human beings we tend to have a negativity
bias.
As such,
Oftentimes we might create an argument inside our head when we
state an affirmation because we feel we are far from the truth of those
statements.
Affirmations on the other hand are positive aspirations stated in
the form of a question.
Another human trait is that we are answer seekers.
When
we ask ourselves questions we will also look for confirmation or we will look
for a solution for the question.
For example,
An affirmation might be I am
rich.
However,
Some people might be struggling financially or they compare
their wealth to others who might be more wealthy or appear to be more wealthy.
Instead,
An affirmation following the theme of being rich could be stated in
the form of this question.
Why am I so prosperous?
Why do I have abundance?
Mindfully asking ourselves questions will help us see the truth of what
already is and if there is a gap between the hope and our reality,
The nature of
asking ourselves that question will help us seek answers and move to
self-fulfilling action.
This is just another way to overcome negativity bias
and that ridiculous editor that is inside our head who wants to argue with
us and keep us down.
Today's affirmations are for renewal and courage and
confidence in our day-to-day life and some are specifically for business or
work.
Courage is ours to have but sometimes we doubt it.
One special
passage in Scripture says in Joshua 1 verse 9,
Have I not commanded you?
Be
strong and courageous.
Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed.
For
the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Let's not doubt that.
Join me in
these affirmations.
Why do I accomplish anything excellent I set my mind on?
Why do I have the energy and passion to make my excellent thoughts a reality?
Why
do I know I am responsible for my own attitude?
In what ways am I demonstrating
that I am a creative genius?
Why am I so grateful for all the experiences in my
life?
Why am I able to be so confident?
How do I remain unaffected by the
negative attitudes around me?
Why do I feel so blessed?
Why am I so great at
making wise decisions?
How do I recognize that I am surrounded by love?
Why do I
have everything I need right now to accomplish everything that I want?
Why
am I whole,
Complete and fulfilled in my life?
How am I reclaiming my power so
wisely in all parts of my life?
How am I setting boundaries with care for myself
and others?
How am I nurturing my strength and independence?
Why do I have
abundance?
How am I attracting prosperity?
Why will my business and career flourish
so greatly that I can hire and support others?
Why am I such an engaging,
Gracious and effective boss,
Employee or partner in the workplace?
In what ways am
I having affluence and influence?
Why am I a capable,
Wise leader?
Why am I so
talented and able to use my talents and gifts?
What am I doing to be an inspiring
boss,
Employee,
Colleague or partner in business?
Friends,
I hope these
affirmations are helpful in bringing about renewal and courage and confidence
and everything that you are called to do.
Please don't let any discouragement hold
you back from using your gifts and moving forward and making a difference
in your life and the life of others.
Peace to you and have an abundant day.
