Welcome,
Friends.
My name is Kathy.
I am a spiritual intelligence coach and leadership
consultant.
I have a passion for supporting people in the ability to behave with wisdom
and compassion while maintaining inner and outer peace,
Regardless of the situation.
I am so pleased you have joined me.
I have created a series of mindfulness practices
that we can use to support ourselves towards healthy aspirations.
These are a series of
affirmations.
Perhaps you have heard the word affirmations and have even used affirmations
in your regular practice.
Affirmations are statements that might be true or might be
aspirational and they are intended to help us to form a positive mindset.
However,
I
found a process called affirmations that has a similar intent but uses a slightly
different process.
I discovered this from an author named Noah St.
John.
The logic is
that as human beings we tend to have a negativity bias.
As such,
Oftentimes we might create
an argument inside our head when we state an affirmation because we feel we are so far
from the truth of those statements.
Affirmations,
On the other hand,
Are positive aspirations
stated in the form of a question.
Another human trait that we have is we are all answer
seekers.
When we ask ourselves questions,
We will also look for confirmation or we will
look for a solution to the question.
For example,
An affirmation might be,
I am rich.
However,
Some people might be struggling financially or they compare their wealth to others who
might appear to be more wealthy.
Instead,
An affirmation following the theme of being
rich could be stated in the form of this question,
Why am I so prosperous?
Why do I have abundance?
Mindfully asking ourselves these questions will help us see the truth of what already
is and if there is a gap between that hope and our current reality,
The nature of asking
ourselves that question will help us seek answers and move to self-fulfilling action.
This is just another way to overcome our negativity bias and that ridiculous editor inside our
head who wants to argue with us and keep us down.
Join me in listening to these affirmations.
I am creating a series focusing on the following themes,
Wellness,
Relationships,
Career and
spirituality.
Today,
I want you to join me,
If you will,
In these spiritual affirmations.
Let's begin.
Why does God know me and love me?
Why am I so consistent at meditating daily?
Why am I wise?
Where does my wisdom come from?
What have I read in sacred texts that
mean so much to me?
Why am I worthy of respect and love and admiration and success and abundance?
Why am I spiritually conscious?
In what ways am I staying present every moment to what is?
Where does my hope come from?
Why am I hearing and knowing God's call for him to work through
me to share my gifts?
How am I living wholeheartedly as though I know I am a child of the King?
How do I respect and listen to my intuition and inspiration from God?
How am I using my
prosperity to help others?
Why do I know that I can forgive myself?
Why am I open to forgiving
others?
How will forgiveness heal me?
Why do I crave prayer time with God?
What am I
hearing through prayer?
Where am I noticing God in creation?
When do I see Christ in others?
What am I really being called into for the next steps in life?
What do I need to let go of that does not serve me or the divine?
When am I showing compassion?
When am I graciously receiving kindness from others as a gift from the divine?
How am I connected to a faith community of mutual support?
What am I choosing to be grateful for today?
Friends,
I hope these affirmations are an inspiration to you,
And have a blessed day.
