Close your eyes for a moment.
And just allow yourself to draw your awareness.
INWARD.
Normally,
Our awareness is focused on everything that's constantly changing in the world around us.
Sights and sounds.
Sensations.
But just very consciously,
Very deliberately,
Draw that awareness.
From the changing world outside.
To the unchanging world.
Inside.
And draw the awareness deep.
There's a very sacred energy center.
What we call chakras.
It's a very powerful one that's located about two inches below your belly button.
You can put your hand there if you want.
You don't have to either way.
Just about two inches below your belly button.
And it's called the Swadhishthan Chakra.
And in Sanskrit language,
Swadhishthan literally means the place of the self.
And just allow yourself.
To drop the awareness.
Into that energy center.
That is the very core.
Of you.
And as you inhale,
Allow yourself to take your inhalation.
From that energy center just below the belly button.
Feel it expanding.
The chakra is actually the form of a lotus flower.
So as you inhale,
Allow yourself to visualize and also to feel experientially.
The petals of this lotus flower opening.
As you inhale.
Petal by petal.
That very presence of you.
That sores.
Of life.
Of love.
Of peace.
That unchanging.
Spacious,
Infinitely expansive source.
Of you.
In you.
Feel it opening,
Petal by petal.
As you inhale,
Taking in the sacred life force,
The prana from this universe.
You're breathing in,
Quite literally,
The energy.
That has come to us since the Big Bang,
The energy of the universe.
Breathe it in.
And feel it flowing into you.
Opening those petals.
Into the very expansive fullness.
Of who you are.
And as you exhale.
On each exhalation,
Allow yourself to let go.
Let go of another way in which you are stuck.
Another anger grudge.
False identification.
Unfulfilled expectation,
Resentment.
Just exhale and let it go.
And allow yourself on each exhalation.
To drop deeper and deeper.
Into that spaciousness.
At the very core.
Of yourself.
Slowly and gently.
Bring the palms of your hands together at chest level and just gently rub the palms of your hands against each other.
And press the palms of your hands into your closed eyes.
Slowly.
Open your eyes.
And lower your hands.
