As we move throughout our days,
It's so easy.
To get triggered.
To get stressed.
To get wrapped up.
In other people's projections toward us.
In other people's actions,
Reactions.
Their own karmic dramas.
It's so easy to internalize.
The stories that were told.
By family members,
By friends.
By our education system,
By our culture.
And as we internalize.
Naturally or stressed.
Because we feel like we're never good enough.
Hold on.
Pure enough.
Happy enough,
Successful enough.
And so we move through the world.
This constant state.
Trying to fill,
Trying to find,
Trying to become.
Trying to have,
Trying to earn.
Our own worthiness.
But the truth is,
What our sacred,
Ancient,
Timeless Vedic tradition reminds us.
Is that we are actually inseparable.
From the infinite.
We are inseparable from the supreme reality.
Our true nature.
Is that infinite reality.
This is a beautiful and very powerful meditation to do.
Every morning before you.
Go about your day wearing rolls.
Duties throughout the day and family and your job.
In your friend's circle.
And it's a beautiful meditation to do at the end of the day.
As you take off.
The roles in the stories.
It's also a beautiful meditation to do any time during the day,
Your lunch break,
Coffee break.
To just.
Really re-anchor.
In the truth of who you are.
Allow your eyes to close.
And allow yourself.
To unhook your awareness.
From all of that which is constantly changing in the world around you.
Sights,
Sounds,
Smells,
Sensations,
Movements.
The world around us is always changing.
It's the nature of nature.
But just for a few moments,
Unhook your awareness from that chain.
And dry it inward.
Deep within yourself.
Allow that awareness.
To anchor in the breath.
Don't try to change the breath.
This isn't pranayama.
We're not working with the breath.
Don't count it.
Don't manipulate it.
But we're just using the breath.
As a mag.
An anchor for the awareness.
As it unhooks from the world around us.
And draws inward.
Anchoring into our breath.
As the breath flows in.
And flows out.
In an unbroken stream.
Like the waves of the ocean.
Coming in.
And going out.
And allow the awareness of your breath.
To drop deeply.
As low in your abdomen as you can.
So instead of drawing the awareness of the breath in the ribcage or the sternum,
Drop that awareness.
Below your belly button.
About two inches below your belly button.
Is a very sacred and very powerful energy center.
Or chakra.
Called the Swadhisthana Chakra.
In the Sanskrit language swadhishthan literally means the place of the self.
Soir is self.
Sthan is place.
So the swadhishthan chakra just below our navels.
That energy center.
Of the core.
Of our being.
Allow the awareness of the breath.
To drop there.
As you inhale.
You can feel the petals.
Of the lotus flower.
Of that energy center opening.
As you inhale just feel the energy center expanding and expanding.
As the petals open and open.
With the presence of sacred prana,
That life force.
You're breathing in.
And as you exhale.
On each exhalation,
Let go.
Let go.
Of another stress you're carrying.
Another anger or grudge or pain.
That you're holding in a vice with a death grip.
With your heart,
Your mind.
As you exhale just let it go.
Let go of another worry.
Attention.
Fear.
Just exhale and give them back to the universe.
This sacred universe.
That turns seeds into trees that give us fruit or fragrance.
This sacred universe that turns caterpillars into butterflies.
This sacred universe.
That knows all.
Creates all.
It sustains us.
Just give it back.
Exhale and let it go.
And allow yourself to drop deeper and deeper.
Into that core.
Of yourself.
Let go of another drama.
Another narrate.
Another story that you tell yourself about yourself.
Or about the world.
That go of the story.
The stories keep us stuck.
They're like filters.
Through which we see the world.
Through which we move.
Through which we act and react.
And they prevent us from seeing the full.
Exquisite lens.
Because we're stuck.
Stuck in the story.
Let it go.
Breathe it out.
And allow yourself to sing.
Deeper and deeper.
Into the spaciousness.
Infinite expansiveness.
Of who you are.
Not the stories of the mind.
Not the history or the identities.
But that unbounded,
Infinite fullness.
Just drop deeply.
Into the Swadhisthana chakra.
Allowing the petals to open and open with each inhalation.
As you take in the sacred prana.
The life force,
The energy of the universe.
And as you exhale.
Just give it all back to the earth.
At the end of each exhalation.
Just for a moment before you inhale again,
Just pause.
Pause at the end of the exhalation.
Deep in that Swadhishthan Chakra in that energy center.
Of the core.
Have yours now.
You can add a very simple but very powerful mantra to this.
The mantra is so hum.
And it means I am that.
I am one.
With the universe.
One with all that exists.
There's no place I end.
And the universe begins.
I am that.
The capital T there.
So if you notice that your mind still wanders a bit,
Don't worry.
Just give it this beautiful mantra to work with.
And the inhalation.
As the petals of the Swadhisthana chakra open.
As the sacred life force flows into you,
Filling you.
Touching and illumining every cell of your being.
On those inhalations.
Just allow yourself.
Slowly,
Silently.
To chant to yourself.
So.
As you inhale.
Chanting so.
And as you exhale.
As you let go deeper and deeper.
Fuller and fuller And as you drop more and more deeply,
And freely.
Into the unchanging expansive.
Of yourself.
Slowly and silently chat.
Hand.
Take the inhalations and exhalations at your own pace.
Dropping deeper and deeper.
Freer and freer.
On each exhalation.
Slowly and gently.
Bring the palms of your hands together at chest level in Namaste.
Bow your head.
To the presence of the divine.
In you.
Has you.
Flowing through you.
And slowly rub the palms of your hands against each other.
And press the palms of your hands into your closed eyes.
Slowly.
.
.
Lower the hat.
And open your eyes.
As you move through your day.
Let that Swadhisthana Chakra be the place that anchors and re-anchors you.
Throughout the day.
Just whenever you remember.
Drop deeply.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah!
Here we are.
Just for a moment.
You don't even have to close your eyes.
No one has to know you're having a spiritual moment.
But just.
Re-remember.
Oh yeah!
Here we are.
With so,
So much love to you all.
