Welcome to Pause with Anya.
A few quiet minutes to pause,
Breathe.
And come back to yourself.
Right now we're going to gently slow the racing mind.
And come back to this calm,
Steady moment.
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable seat.
Or lie down somewhere you feel safe and supported.
Allow it to soften your eyelids.
Or let your eyes close.
If that feels okay.
If your mind has been racing today,
Thoughts tumbling over each other faster and faster,
You don't need to stop them by force.
We're simply going to slow everything down,
Gently.
Together.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Steady.
And still.
When the mind races,
The breath often races too.
So we will start right there.
Slowly,
Breathing through your nose,
The count of four.
Go for four,
Three,
Two.
And out even more slowly for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
One.
Again,
In.
.
.
And out six.
One again,
Inhale.
And exhale.
Again.
And as the breath slows,
The mind begins to slow with it.
Keep this gentle rhythm going in your own time.
Each exhale is a quiet signal to your whole system.
There is no emergency here.
You can slow down.
A racing mind isn't a problem to be fixed.
It's just the mind moving quickly,
Trying to stay ahead of everything.
You don't need to fight it.
Imagine your thoughts as a fast spinning wheel.
You're not going to grab it and force it to stop.
That's only jars.
Instead,
You simply stop feeding it and let it slow on its own.
Picture the thoughts gradually slowing,
Like a carousel winding down at the end of the day.
Slower.
And slower.
And slower still.
You don't have to chase a single one of them.
Let them blur softly into the background.
And underneath all that movement.
Notice.
That is a part of you.
That is already calm.
Already still.
It was there the whole time.
A racing mind tries to hold everything at once.
So let's do the opposite.
And hold just one thing.
Rest your attention gently on the feeling.
Of a single breath.
The cool air arriving through your nose.
And the warm air leaving.
Just this one breath.
When the mind wanders off again.
And it will.
That's completely fine.
Softly.
Without frustration,
Bring it back to this one breath.
One breath at a time.
One moment at a time.
This is all you ever have to manage at once.
Rest here now,
In this lower,
Quieter place.
Nothing to catch and nothing to solve.
Simply here.
Feel how your mind begins to grow still all by itself.
Calm and steady.
And unhurried.
Slowly.
When you are ready.
Begin to deepen your breath a little.
Feel your fingers and your toes and softly open your eyes.
Carry this slow pace with you.
And remember.
Anytime your mind starts to race again.
You can always come back.
To one slow breath.
And one moment.
Edit time.
I'll see you next week.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
Whenever you need a moment of calm,
This space will be here for you.
Be gentle with yourself.
Until next time.
