Close down your eyes,
Breathe into yourself.
Today,
We dive deep into self-confrontation to uncover our true worth.
There is a voice within you that has spent years negotiating that worth.
It has bartered your value for approval,
For attention,
For affection,
For achievement,
For being easy to love,
Easy to keep,
Easy to choose.
Notice how exhausting that is.
Breathe deep in through the nose,
Notice where your body feels it,
And release slowly out the mouth.
Continue to breathe deep,
Feel what it costs you to live as though your existence must be justified.
How often have you mistaken being wanted for being worthy?
How often have you shaped yourself into something smaller so you could fit inside someone else's comfort?
Have you called it patience when it was self-abandonment,
And how often have you called it love when it was the slow erosion of your own belonging?
Breathe,
Hear,
And witness.
There is nothing noble about becoming less so others can feel like more.
There is no virtue in shrinking to earn tenderness.
You were not made to become digestible.
You were not made to earn welcome through exhaustion.
You were not made to perform your worth until someone agrees it is there.
It has always been there.
Breathe deep,
And stop negotiating.
Your worth is not a prize to win,
It is not made more real by praise,
And it does not rise when chosen or vanish when refused.
It is always there because it is.
Continue to breathe deep and feel that.
It is not just comforting words,
It is fact.
You are a miracle,
You are a treasure,
And your worth does not tremble at misunderstanding.
Your worth does not beg to be seen correctly,
It simply is,
And in each breath it remains.
Gently breathe in to the part of you still learning.
Deep down you know that love is not the same as validation,
That being chosen is not the same as being worthy,
That being needed is not the same as being valued,
And that your life does not begin at the moment someone finally recognizes what you have always been.
Witness yourself in every breath,
Find rest here.
You do not need to become more useful to be worthy,
You do not need to earn what has never been missing.
Let yourself feel what remains when proving comes to an end.
You belong here,
You have always belonged here,
And you are perfect here.
Take one more deep breath,
Let it go,
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes and begin again.
