Hello and welcome.
My name is Paige Lee.
Start by finding a comfortable seat.
And then begin to notice where the points of the body connect with the surface beneath you.
Taking a moment here to arrive.
Settling heavier into the shape.
Your body.
And notice if.
.
.
Sometimes we have a tendency to lean forward with the upper body in this pose,
So check in on the shoulders.
Lean back ever so slightly to ensure that they stack directly above the hips.
You might find that engages the core a little bit and encourages the spine to sit up a little bit straighter.
And now lengthen up and out through the neck.
Reaching through the crown of the head.
Broaden through the collarbones here as you roll the shoulders back and down.
Options for the hands here.
The palms can be face up or down.
Against the thighs.
Encourage to build some connection with yourself by bringing the hands to a spot on the body calling for your attention.
There's no right or wrong answer here.
This is an opportunity for you to lean in.
And listen.
To the part of the body.
Asking to be seen.
Asking for comfort.
Asking for attention.
Or support.
And once you've connected with that place in the body,
Then recommit to the tall spine reaching up and out through the crown.
As you simultaneously settle deeper and deeper,
Heavier into the surface beneath you.
Allowing gravity to do much of the work here.
As it anchors you,
Grounds you.
Deeper into the place.
In which you are.
Wherever the hands are located,
Press down through the pinky fingers,
The ring fingers.
The middle fingers.
The first fingers and the thumbs of both hands.
And press through the palms.
No matter where they are.
Your palms or face up.
Resting on the thighs.
Then just send your attention to each of those areas.
Building energy.
And sensation.
With each of these places.
And the hands.
You might begin to experience a small pulsing sensation or some warmth.
Heat.
Retaining the connection you've built with your body,
The hands,
Wherever they rest.
Now,
Let's begin to layer on the breath.
Observing the breath right as it is.
And it could still be short and shallow.
A little constricted here to start and that's okay.
Simply allowing that to be okay is part of the process of lengthening the breath naturally.
So without trying to override it or fix it or contort it,
Notice how extending a sense of acceptance and permission to simply be exactly as it is,
It allows the body to soften and open just a little bit more.
And with that.
Creates natural length.
With the inhales and the exhales.
A moment of trust.
Connection.
And then maybe now it feels easier to broaden through the inhalations as you fill the body with fresh breath to expand the lungs and the ribs.
And as you exhale,
Feel the breath.
Completely empty from the body.
Another meaningful inhale here as you fill with air.
A very satisfying exhale here as you let it go.
Another one.
Big breath in.
Fulfilling and expanding.
Softening through the shoulders,
Settling deeper into the seat beneath you.
As you slowly and luxuriously begin to let the air out.
Continue to become deeply fascinated.
By the way.
.
.
Your body is breathing in this moment.
How the body is.
In a way breathing itself in.
And we are here simply observing it.
Notice if there's any tension or clenching beginning to take place anywhere in the body,
The legs,
Or the buttocks,
Or the core,
Or the low back.
See if you can retain this beautiful connection with the breath while also taking any minor shifts,
Adjustments or wiggles that will allow you to settle even more deeply into this moment.
Back to the breath if you've lost it.
Those long,
Big,
Slow inhales.
Those long,
Big,
Full exhales.
A few more rounds just like that.
In this place of peace,
Connection.
And deep presence.
Luxury in this moment that you have built for yourself.
Notice that place in the body.
That first asked for your attention.
Check in to see how that place feels now.
What feedback are you experiencing in this moment now?
Checking in on the palms the pads of the fingers.
With every inhale,
Just continue to fill,
Fill,
Fill with fresh air.
And with every exhale.
Continue to empty.
Offload,
And release.
Be coming to close here momentarily.
Take a moment to Extend a sense.
Of gratitude,
Support,
Love,
Reassurance,
Delight.
Appreciation.
Oh.
With yourself.
With this moment,
With your body.
With your life.
And remind yourself.
That this is the place right here.
Which everything ripples from.
From this place,
Our days become much more connected and fruitful.
They feel meaningful and satisfying.
Because we are all the way here.
In breath and in body.
This is a powerful connection.
To create with ourself at the beginning,
The middle,
The end of our days,
So that from that point forward We retain this new sense of connection.
The sense of ease and peace.
The sense of confidence.
And clarity.
That says no matter what comes next.
I've got it.
You can do this.
Come back to this space as often as you need.
Begin to draw some awareness back into the body in the present moment here.
As we begin to reawaken out of the state of meditation while also retaining the connection that we've built.
So that's your practice.
Find that edge.
Of bringing this moment forward with you.
As you move into the next moments of your day.
I wish you a beautiful rest of your day.
Take care of yourself.
Thank you.
