Welcome,
Everyone,
To another meditation.
Today,
I'm going to invite you to stand tall,
Your shoulders back,
Your neck up straight,
Your shoulders over your hips and your hips over your ankles,
Maybe with your feet slightly apart.
And you're going to take a deep breath and stretch out your arms and let everything out.
And perhaps do that one more time,
Inhaling as you raise your arms and exhaling,
Let everything go.
And I want you to imagine yourself out in the woods on a rocky headland by the ocean on a cool spring evening.
And you're leaning your back against this huge tree as you look out on your surroundings.
And you're at the top of a cliff edge,
And this slope is covered in small shrubs that are just starting to leaf out with the first spring rain.
And it stretches down to the rocky shore below,
Scattered with driftwood.
And you hear the rolling waves as they come into the beach.
And looking out across the water to the mountains,
The sky is this beautiful purpley,
Pinky blue color,
And a few clouds have a pinkish glow.
And all you have to do is breathe in,
Hold,
Look to your right,
See the trail winding out through the woods.
See these beautiful white flowers,
Lilies scattered all across the forest floor.
It's truly a magical place that you're in right now.
And you're just breathing in with each breath and feel your body relax.
And maybe you're swaying slightly from side to side in rhythm with the waves.
And you just keep breathing.
And just appreciating all the beauty before your eyes right now.
Very solid.
And maybe as you're breathing,
You want to move your body a little.
Maybe a twist from the waist.
Maybe stretching arms up in the air.
Maybe bending down.
And arriving to a stretch.
And just breathing.
Just feeling connected with your feet on the ground.
And you're a part of this place.
And you start to look closely at the bark of this tree that you're leaning on.
And you notice all the details in the bark.
Even the moss and lichen growing on the rough patches of the trunk of this tree.
Which must be very,
Very old indeed.
And you look down to the roots.
As the moss thickens to where the tree meets the ground.
And you just feel appreciation for this tree.
And you glance over your shoulder and notice the sun is really set now.
And with each breath,
The light gets lower.
And you start to feel more relaxed.
And like it's time to wind down for the day.
And you can stay in this place.
Until you feel it's time to start to walk.
And you notice that your breathing is naturally deeper.
And you have this easy feeling about you.
And you have this feeling of real happiness to be in this place at this time.
And in a few more breaths,
This recording is going to wrap up.
However you wish.
