Emotional resilience.
Is the number one thing that you can practice And to do that,
It's not,
It's not.
Complicated.
It's difficult but it's not complicated.
It's not complicated because all you have to do is be a human.
And you'll face emotions.
All you have to do is be alive and emotions will be there.
So it's not complicated.
Difficult though because within you is a logical thinking cognitive mind which does not want to feel emotions In fact it does anything to avoid it.
This is why you often see people in new age spirituality saying Yeah,
I.
.
.
Walking for me is my meditation.
I don't need to meditate because walking.
.
.
You know,
Is my meditation.
I've said this before,
But Walking is beautiful.
Doing art is beautiful.
Yoga is beautiful.
Poetry is beautiful,
Music is beautiful,
But it's not meditation.
All of those things are doing.
The ego is a doing beast.
It wants to do.
It wants to create.
It wants to build.
And it feels much better when it's moving.
If you combine ego with spirituality,
The ego will create all the excuses not to just be.
When you be,
When you do nothing,
When you meditate,
When you sit down for a designated period of time.
In stillness.
Your crap is gonna come to the surface.
Guaranteed the insanity of the mind and the crazy emotions that have been buried.
And the ego will think of all the excuses in the world not to do meditation because it doesn't want to go near that stuff.
That's where you hear the excuses like walking's my meditation,
I do poetry.
I take a bath.
That's my meditation.
All beautiful activities but they're not the same as sitting with your density That's why everybody who works with me,
Who truly gets it.
Because there's some people who totally get this and they're totally on board.
What you have to do is you have to have a mindfulness practice.
That is fairly regimented like you have a set 10 minute meditation per day.
And in those 10 minutes,
You can do different styles of meditation.
You can do vipassana,
Insight,
Zen,
Loving kindness.
Transcendental meditation,
Mantra,
Kundalini But just.
.
.
The main thing is that you are actually surrendering yourself.
To emotions.
