Hello and welcome to Self-Connection and Awareness Mindfulness Exercise number 3.
Find a nice comfortable space where you won't be disturbed for between 5 to 10 minutes.
Have a glass of water with you,
You can sit or you can lay down,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
When you are ready,
Take a nice deep breath in and release gently,
In the next breath slow it down,
Breathe deeply,
Expanding the belly and the chest,
And releasing nice,
Slow,
Gentle.
Allowing your body to respond to the breath by releasing and relaxing the muscles,
You feel tension and stress releasing in the out breath,
And as you breathe in,
Breathe in calmness and peace,
Draw your attention to the inner self,
Noticing the thoughts and feelings and movements of the body and the mind,
Observing without judgement and allowing things to come and go,
Now seeing a bright light beginning as a small dot within you and with every breath in it expands,
And with every breath out it expands further out around the body,
Gentle and slow breathing,
Allowing the light to completely encompass you,
Holding you in its soft warm glow,
You feel as you gently breathe in and out,
That glow encompassing all around you,
And now you connect to your higher self,
Simply saying to yourself,
I connect to my higher self,
I create space to listen to my soul,
I connect to my higher self,
I create space to listen to my soul,
I connect to my higher self,
And I create space to listen to my soul,
Continue to say this to yourself,
Allowing the warmth of the light to wash all around you and through you,
Holding space for a moment,
Allowing this light and your inner self and your higher self to connect and to open up and allow that feeling of wholeness to wash through you and around you,
You allow thoughts to come and to go,
You allow feelings to come and to go and you notice things beginning to rise within you,
Seeing insults and messages that may come forward,
You trust whatever comes to you,
That this is what is for your highest good,
You also trust that if nothing specific comes to you,
That there is importance and wisdom in that silence,
You trust your higher self to show you what you need to see and that which will help you to move forward,
As you gently breathe in and out,
You feel your connection to your highest self and your soul,
And you know that you can always ask for guidance whenever you need it,
And that you will always allow that space and listen to that inner guidance,
Taking nice,
Slow,
Deep breaths and allowing yourself to move back into the now moment,
Paying attention to everything around you in the now moment,
In the room or the space that you are in,
Feeling yourself and your awareness returning,
Wriggling your toes and stretching and wriggling your fingers,
Allowing your breath to return to a normal rate,
And sitting in reflection to this experience.
