In today's meditation,
We're going to the most beautiful beach you can imagine.
Bring yourself close to the water's edge,
Warm sand.
You can feel a gentle breeze on your body.
And you can hear the palm trees just gently swaying in the background,
Starting to allow your breath to soften into the sand.
And noticing that as you breathe,
The sand begins to form around your body,
Encouraging you to take really deep and slow breaths as you slowly melt deeper into the sandy groove.
And laying by the water's edge,
I want you to imagine that the water is now coming up and greeting your feet.
And see if you could imagine the ocean moving in this slow,
Deep motion,
Where it's slowly coming up over your toes,
Over your arches of your feet,
And over your heels.
And it's almost hovering and staying,
Circulating around your feet.
And then slowly the water leaves from your feet back into the big ocean.
Now that the water has left,
The sand has a groove underneath and your feet are starting to melt deeper into the sand.
A sense of becoming one with the sand as you feel gravity doing its work,
Surrendering,
Softening,
Unclenching.
And again the ocean comes back,
And this time it comes over your feet,
Following over your ankles,
Slowly moving up your legs,
Up to your knees,
And continues all the way up your thighs.
And again this water just hovers over your legs,
The whole lower part of your body.
And you can feel this nice softening into the sand,
Muscles relaxed.
And slowly the water makes its way back down your legs,
Past your knees,
Past your calves,
Past your ankles,
And now again this deep sense of your legs softening.
The sand is molding even more with it being wet,
And your legs can just fall into this sandy groove.
Feeling your body so relaxed in the sand,
You notice another wave comes up to greet you.
This time the wave comes to your toes,
Up your arches of your feet,
Heels,
Continuing up the ankles,
Up past your calves.
And this time the ocean wave ever so slowly continues,
Continues,
Greets your fingertips,
Moving up your fingers,
Palms,
Wrists.
Begins to move more up your forearms,
While also beginning to go over your belly button and your rib cage and your heart.
And the water continues moving all the way up your shoulders,
So that your entire body up until your neck is now softening even more into the sand.
This ocean wave is continuing to hover and ever so slightly push you deeper into the earth.
Feeling your body molding into the sand below.
You can breathe with more ease,
More space.
And the wave slowly makes its way back down your body,
Going over your heart,
Going back down over your belly button and your arms,
Going back over your fingers,
And making its way down your legs,
Down past your ankles,
And over your toes back to the water.
And from this place,
Feeling at one with the earth,
And feeling the strength of your body,
The resilience,
The capacity.
From this place,
You can release any resistance,
Any part of you that's grasping or holding physically,
Emotionally.
You can fully let go.
Feeling the earth support underneath your back body.
This is the power that will support you through your day,
Through your night,
And you can lean into it.
So,
Taking a deep breath in and a big sigh out.
And again,
Another deep breath in,
And letting go of anything you don't need as you breathe out.
And as this meditation begins to come to a close,
One more time,
The ocean makes its way over your body,
Starting at your feet,
Going up your legs,
Up your fingers,
Arms,
Torso,
Heart,
Shoulders.
And this time,
It goes past your shoulders,
Past your neck,
And has this amazing flow over your entire face.
It wraps around the top of your head,
And your whole body is submerged in this water.
And you can breathe in here as it hovers over your entire body,
Feeling your skull sinking beautifully into the sand,
And your entire spine connected to the earth.
And slowly from this place,
The ocean comes back over your face,
Over your neck,
Moving down over your heart,
Belly button,
Arms.
Moving down your legs and past your feet,
Back with the greater ocean.
And from this place,
Just slowly starting to wiggle your toes and wiggle your fingers.
And ever so gently opening your eyes,
And taking in the beauty of this very moment.
Feeling the liveness of your breath,
The stillness of your body,
And moving forward from this place with a deeper sense of grace,
Ease,
And oneness.
