And I'll be guiding you through this five minute short break for you to focus on your breath and experience a moment of inner peace and tranquility.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
Let your hands rest on your thighs or in your lap,
And begin to feel the contact between your body and the support beneath.
Become aware of the effect that gravity has on your body.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
And exhale through the mouth,
Alongside releasing any tension.
Now continue breathing in and out through your nose,
Without any effort to change your breath,
And just witness your breath as it is.
Notice if it's easier for you to feel your breath at the nostrils,
Or maybe in your chest,
Or in your abdomen.
Wherever you find it easier to follow your breath,
Focus on that part of your body.
Notice the expansion as you breathe in,
And the softening as you breathe out.
Your belly or your chest expand.
Follow your natural and effortless breath,
Like waves coming onto the shore,
And give yourself one last deep breath here,
Breathing in through your nose,
And letting it go through the mouth.
Take a moment to notice how you feel physically,
Mentally,
Emotionally,
And continue your day feeling peaceful and refreshed.
