Hello Love Safety is known,
It is seen,
It is heard,
It is felt.
Safety is knowing I am seen,
I am heard,
I am felt.
Safety is the gentle whisper of love.
And you are here because you're longing for it.
It's been difficult to open your eyes and put your feet on the floor knowing how your heart will race when you open that door.
Someone or something has made you feel that you are not safe,
That you are not okay,
That something within you is inherently flawed,
That the things you do or say are wrong and maybe you've even started to believe them.
Maybe you're terrified.
But as you race and race and race to a place you can scream,
You open your mouth and all that comes out is a hollow hiss.
From the pain in your lungs,
A pain you've held for far too long.
My dear,
Love is still within you.
And within love is that gentle whisper.
Come with me now and let's listen.
Imagine you are running.
The person or place who haunts you,
Held behind,
Bound by the chains of their own words,
But you are free and you're running to a field.
Take a deep breath in and on your out breath send your breath out as the breeze.
What do you see moving?
Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.
Let it heat your face,
Your neck,
Your chest.
Put your hand on your heart now and repeat these words after me.
I am loved.
I was made by love.
And I am made from a DNA helix containing a golden ratio that is found across all creation from a sunflower to buttercups to pine cones and branches to the spiraling of galaxies.
I am worthy of love because I am love.
I am worthy of safety because love is my kind protector.
What the world may not so readily provide,
I will give to myself.
Breathe now in a steady rhythm.
Let yourself fall into it.
Sway.
Rock.
Hold your arms and as you breathe,
Tell her,
Tell him.
Tell them.
I will keep you safe now.
I promise not to forsake you.
I will hold you when all other arms abandon you.
I will stroke your hair and lay you down to rest.
I will sing to you a lullaby and tell you this.
I will tell you.
I will tell you over and over again.
My dear,
I love you.
You are worthy of my love.
You are safe.
I will help keep you safe now you are safe and loved from this moment forward,
I will not forget.
I see you.
I hear you.
I feel you.
Now look over the meadow What flowers are blooming?
What light touches your skin?
Come back here as often as you need to.
And remember.
.
.
The safety within.
