Welcome to today's meditation for calming our energies.
Find a comfortable seated or lying position and gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in and a steady breath out.
Inhale slowly and exhale completely.
Now bring your awareness to your breath,
Not changing it,
But just noticing it.
If your mind feels busy,
That's okay.
We're just trying to come back to ourselves one breath at a time.
Now gently bring awareness to your body.
Notice where your body is touching the surface beneath you.
Feel that support.
Feel grounded.
Feel held.
Now name three things you can feel in your body.
Maybe the weight of your hands,
The contact of your feet,
The movement of your breath.
Stay with each sensation for a moment.
If anxious thoughts arise,
Acknowledge them and gently return to your breath.
You can say,
Right now I'm here,
Right now I'm okay.
Right now I'm here,
Right now I'm okay.
Let your exhale be slightly longer than your inhale.
Allow your body to soften,
Even if it's just five percent more.
Feel your body completely relax.
Feel your mind completely relax.
Stay with this feeling and just create a little space around it.
Now slowly bring awareness back to your surroundings.
Gently open your eyes when you're ready and take this grounded feeling with you today.
Repeat in your mind,
I'm safe,
I'm okay,
And I'm blessed.
