So here is a direct method how to meet trauma especially when it comes at nighttime and how to dissolve it instead of suppressing it.
So what to do when trauma rises at night?
First stop trying to sleep because trying to sleep it just trying to escape it.
The moment you try to sleep you fight a wave.
The body tightens,
The mind spirals,
The energy gets trapped again.
So say inwardly I'm not here to sleep I'm here to meet what is rising and this immediately shifts you out of victimhood into presence.
Second point bring attention from the story so it is from the story from the mind to the body.
The story is noise,
The story is memory,
The story is the echo.
However the trauma is the stuck or frozen energy in the body.
So ask where do I feel it?
Where do I feel the energy in the body which is frozen?
Where do I feel that unpleasant sensation?
Whether it is emotional or physical?
So once you find a spot stay there.
