This is a reclaim the body meditation for the morning.
For that moment when we move out of the dark of the night and start moving towards the light of the day.
Take a moment to feel how you're sitting or laying.
If you need anything.
And then start sinking into the body.
From the dream world our mind can still be going outward.
So maybe take a moment.
To see what did I dream of.
Not to go into the stories,
But just shortly reviewing what was there in that night when my body was laying down.
And then move towards your body.
To the feeling.
Of yourself.
So you can go into this day connected.
Not scattered all over the place.
But having a base right there.
In yourself.
In your home.
Will start with feeling where you connect to the floor or to the bed.
Acknowledge where you feel yourself touching.
Ah,
I feel you there.
And I feel you there.
Maybe your legs.
Your bum.
Your back.
And then we start as we always start with connecting to the belly.
We'll go from the top of the head to the feet in a little while.
But let's start with the belly.
You can lay your hands on your belly.
To help yourself.
How does your belly feel?
Can you imagine that you could put on little lights?
In every little cell.
Not only the skin.
But from the skin all the way to the depths of yourself.
Because everywhere where there is life,
There is you.
Hello,
My lovely belly.
Center of my body.
Of my power.
And letting the belly loosen.
Maybe you can feel your breath moving the belly.
Because when the diaphragm lowers,
The belly moves out and in with the waves of the breath.
And from there,
We'll go to the top.
The top of you.
The top of your skull.
The place where when you were born,
The skull was still a bit soft and open.
How is it to feel the top of yourself?
You can use your hand.
To lay and feel.
It makes it easier.
And then from there we move down.
Filling yourself.
With your attention.
The whole of your head.
Hello my amazing head.
This wonderful face with all its expression.
The ears with all their capability.
To hear.
The back of the head.
The brain.
All the cavities.
As if also here you could turn on little lights coming back home.
Hello my amazing head.
From the head to the neck.
And the throat.
How does it feel in your neck?
The place where the spine runs through.
The throat.
From there to the upper torso.
With the ribs,
Keep your heart and lungs safe and protected.
The back with your shoulder blades and again the spine sinking.
.
.
A little bit more down.
To the area of the diaphragm.
Above the navel.
Know that you can use your hands if you like to.
How does it feel in this moment?
In this area.
Of your diaphragm.
This area of your stomach,
Liver.
Kidneys in the back.
Spleen.
And from there,
More down.
The lower belly,
The lower back.
Your bum,
Your pelvis.
The lower belly.
Hello there.
You've just woken up.
And I am connecting myself to you.
Will come back for the arms.
For now we'll sink in more and more.
From the pelvis with its amazing hips to the upper legs.
Hello there,
My amazing upper legs.
From the upper legs to the knees.
How is it to feel your knees?
In other meditations we'll take more time with each little part and all the little details.
For now,
We're just welcoming ourselves back.
Into a new day.
From the knees to the lower legs.
With the calves and the shins What can you feel there?
Hello my amazing lower legs.
From there to the ankles and the feet.
Spend a little bit more time here.
To invite our ankles and feet.
To be open and soft.
So that we can be connected to this planet that we live on.
The feet are such a wonderful place for letting go of excess tension.
Filling ourselves up with energy of our planet.
Can you imagine?
This exchange.
Like the exchange that we have with trees and plants where we breathe out and they breathe in.
What they breathe out,
We breathe in.
Can you imagine your feet doing the same?
Letting go of what we don't need anymore.
The energy that is maybe too much for us.
Letting it go into the earth.
Into this planet we live on.
And I'm filling up.
From her.
Into the feet.
Fresh energy.
Like charging a battery.
Pulling it up.
You We leave the feet for now and go to the arms.
To both upper arms.
Can you feel your arms?
Elbows.
Lower arms.
And then wrists and hands.
Maybe you can lay your hands open.
With palms up.
To your side if you're laying,
In your lap if you're sitting or knees.
And just feel your hands for a moment.
Imagining them softening,
Widening.
Loosening their grip.
As you move into this new day.
These hands that can do so much.
But what if these hands?
Could also stay soft during the day.
Doing but not gripping.
Hello,
My lovely hands.
From the hands we move to the belly.
To round up.
Get back into the centre of ourselves.
Before we start moving into this day.
As if you could sink all the way to the bottom of your belly.
Find a resting place.
Rub your hands together.
Warm them up.
And lay them over your face.
Feel the relaxation of the face.
All these little muscles.
Can they relax for a moment?
Then take your time to open your eyes and start looking around.
But still holding on to this connection.
To yourself.
To this whole of you.
That is your body.
Thank you.
Namaste.
Enjoy this day.
