Masa – Meditation from Kyoto Masa is a meditation practitioner based in Kyoto, Japan. For over ten years, his practice has been rooted in Anapana (breath awareness at the nostrils) and Vipassana meditation. As an Astanga Yoga practitioner & teacher for over 20 years. In graduate school, he studied psychology. Through these practices, he has learned to observe the mind & physical integration with clarity and develop a deeper sense of presence in everyday life. His journey also led him to India, where he explored yoga, meditation, and Eastern philosophy more deeply. These experiences shaped his understanding of meditation as not only a personal practice, but also a way to navigate the complexity of modern life. Living in Kyoto — a place where nature, culture, and tradition coexist — he is interested in how meditation can help people reconnect with stillness in a fast-moving world.
