Allow your body to settle.
Feel the weight of your limbs as they sink into the bed or the floor.
Close your eyes softly and bring your attention to your breath.
Inhale deeply,
Slowly,
Filling your lungs with fresh air.
Exhale and let each breath carry away any tension from the day.
Picture yourself in a serene place,
A quiet beach,
A soft forest clearing.
Each breath you take is like a wave,
Bringing calm.
If your mind begins to wander,
That's okay.
Gently return to your breath.
Each inhale and each exhale.
Allow your body to grow heavier,
More relaxed,
Sinking into rest.
And as you drift,
Know that you're safe,
You're supported and you're exactly where you need to be.
Stay here for as long as you need and when you're ready,
You can simply drift into sleep.
