Welcome to the sacred gateway to sleep.

This sacred pause between day and night is here to settle you into rest.

As we get ready for our journey through the landscape of dreams,

I invite you to settle into your sleeping space,

Adjusting your position until your body feels completely held and supported.

Take a nice,

Deep,

Satisfying breath in through your nose and release it slowly through your mouth with a gentle sigh.

Do this two more times and allow each exhale to carry away anything you no longer need to hold.

And now,

Imagine a gentle golden mist beginning to fill your bedroom.

This is the mist of deep,

Deep sleep.

Sleep that's infused with peace and safety.

With each breath,

You draw this healing mist into your body.

It enters through your nostrils,

Flows down into your lungs and spreads throughout your entire being,

Bringing a warm,

Heavy relaxation to every cell in your body.

And notice how this golden mist makes your eyes feel heavy,

The muscles in your face begin to soften like warm honey.

Your jaw unclenches as you relax it,

Creating a gentle space between your teeth.

Your tongue rests gently in your mouth.

The mist flows down your neck,

Melting any knots of tension,

Releasing your shoulders down and away from your ears.

And now I invite you to visualize a warm,

Gentle river of relaxation flowing down from the top of your head.

This river is moving slowly,

Peacefully,

Carrying away all of your thoughts,

All of your worries,

All of your fears.

Feel it flowing through your mind,

Washing it clean like smooth stones in a stream.

The river flows down through your throat,

Carrying away unspoken words and expressed emotions.

It streams through your chest,

Soothing your heart ever so gently,

Slowing its rhythm to a peaceful,

Sleep-ready pace.

Your breathing naturally becomes slower and deeper as this river of calm moves through you.

Feel the river flowing through your belly,

Releasing any held emotions and stress.

Through your hips and pelvis,

Letting go of all that you've been carrying.

Down through your thighs,

Your knees,

Your calves,

All the way to your feet,

Where all remaining tension flows out through the soles and into the earth below.

In your mind's eye,

You find yourself standing at the entrance to a beautiful,

Moonlit garden.

This is your personal garden of sleep,

A sacred space that exists just for you.

The garden path is soft beneath your bare feet,

Made of fine,

Cool moss.

As you begin to walk through this garden,

You notice the air is perfumed with lavender and night-blooming jasmine.

The temperature is perfect,

Exactly what your body needs for deep sleep.

You hear the gentle sound of a fountain in the distance.

It's rhythmic splashing,

Matching the rhythm of deep,

Restful breathing.

At the heart of your garden stands a beautiful temple.

Its doors are always open for you.

Inside,

You find the most comfortable bed you could imagine.

It's made with clouds for softness,

Starlight for warmth and woven with threads of the deepest peace.

As you lie down on this celestial bed,

You feel yourself sinking into comfort beyond description.

The bed holds you perfectly,

Supporting every curve and angle of your body.

You feel weightless,

Yet grounded,

Held so securely.

A gentle,

Loving presence appears beside you.

This is your sleep guardian,

A wise and protective being who watches over your rest.

Your guardian places a hand over your forehead,

And immediately you feel a wave of deep tranquility washing through your mind.

All thoughts begin to slow down and fade like the evening mist.

Your guardian whispers ancient words of peace that your conscious mind receives like a lullaby,

A permission to slip into a deep sleep,

Into the most nourishing rest you've ever had.

As you float deeper and deeper and deeper into rest,

Your mind beginning to relax and slowly drift into sleep,

Your body feeling heavier and heavier and more and more relaxed.
