Hello,

Dreamers.

My name is Lacey and I will be your guide in this bedtime reflection story as you settle in and get comfy before bed.

We will be acknowledging and appreciating our own unique reflections.

Our reflections are who we see in the mirror every day.

Let's tap into how we feel about them.

It is time to believe that you matter in this world and exactly who you are is what makes you so special.

Feel free to get comfortable lying in bed,

Ready for bedtime,

Or resting comfortably in a chair or on the ground.

Closing your eyes down,

Take in a deep breath in on the count of three.

One,

Two,

Three.

In through your nose,

Really filling up your belly with fresh oxygen.

And deeply exhaling with a sigh.

Inhaling deeply.

And sigh out the exhale.

One more time.

Inhale.

And exhale.

As we move through our time together,

I'll be asking you some questions.

Keep them in your thoughts.

There's no right or wrong.

We're simply just being curious.

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Do you like to see your reflection in a mirror?

In a window,

A car,

Or on a still lake?

What color are your eyes?

Your hair?

Are you smiling?

Are you happy?

Sometimes we pass by a reflection without a second glance.

Take that second glance.

Look at yourself.

Do you see yourself?

Yes,

You.

You are here and you matter in this world.

Everything about you makes you,

You.

You always have you.

And you are amazing.

You truly are.

I want you to think about two things you love about yourself.

Are you kind?

Caring?

Funny?

A good friend?

Brave?

Whatever it is,

Keep it with you in your heart.

Give yourself a little smile as you think of the things you love about yourself.

If two seems difficult,

I invite you to think about this question throughout your day tomorrow.

Or find someone you love and ask them what they love about you.

Maybe that'll be the reminder that you need.

As you are thinking,

Take in another deep breath now.

In through your nose,

Filling up your belly,

And out through your mouth with a sigh.

You are calm.

You are peaceful.

You are loved.

Here is a poem just for you.

As you move through your day in your own unique way,

Remember this rhyme to come back to anytime.

Look in the mirror and take that second glance.

Hold your head high and stand tall in your stance.

There's only one you and you matter.

You do.

Believe in yourself and know that it's true.

Reflections have us thinking,

What do I love about me?

Reflections have us remember,

This is who I came to be.

Now as you settle into bed,

Know that you are wonderful just as you are.

Take a deep breath in.

Let it out slowly.

And feel your body relaxing,

Ready for a peaceful night's sleep.

Sweet dreams,

Little dreamers.
