A day on the call within.
I'm not sure how it came to be that I get to be here with you in this moment.
So many things must have conspired for us to share this slice of time.
You have been through so many ups and downs,
Birthdays and breakups,
Smiles and tears,
And yet here we are.
And in this moment,
I would like to remind you to breathe a little deeper,
To try to let your face muscles relax,
Just for a while,
While I have the honour of talking to you.
When I was little,
I was taught in books and films that love was something we find,
That we search for it,
Incomplete,
Until we find it,
We fall into it,
And then we live happily ever after.
Little did I know that this picture of love was a false one.
I felt like if I could just be more lovable,
Then I would find love.
But dear one,
I'm happy to report that I was wrong.
I did not need to find love.
Love is not something you find.
Love is what you are.
If you are looking for love,
You will never find it.
You can't look for it,
You are it,
And you are also swimming in it.
Love surrounds you.
You see,
I had to undo this childhood understanding that love is something you give and receive,
That you need to deserve it or earn it.
When you find it,
Everything else is perfect,
This notion of happily ever after.
But if I don't have romantic love,
Then there is something wrong with me.
Perhaps this sounds familiar to you.
Love is not something to chase,
To find,
To give or to lose.
Love is infinite.
It is ever present.
It is you,
Within you,
Around you.
It is life.
There's no need to search for it,
Just be it.
And you will meet people who will reflect it back to you.
They are not giving you love or taking it away.
They are mirroring the love that you are and that this world is,
Showing you the infinite love within.
You have found my voice,
Somehow,
Out of an incomprehensible amount of possibilities.
You are here,
So that I can be your mirror,
To show you the love that you already are and that you're swimming in.
This life,
This world,
This universe,
Is an ocean of bliss.
Happily ever after does not mean finding a person and having no more challenges.
This lesson will only cause you heartache.
The real truth is that happily ever after is here and now,
Knowing that you are the love that you've been seeking,
That this life is loving you,
Just as you are.
You don't have to be any more lovable,
You're already lovable.
That there will be challenges and growth,
And you will stumble,
And it may look messy at times,
But this is real love.
The greatest love story of all time,
The one you've been living all along.
Life can either be the biggest burden or the greatest love affair.
The infinite love within is being love in this world and letting it show you the relationship of your dreams.
How willing,
Dear heart,
How willing are you to continue to get to know yourself every day,
To take care of yourself and ask yourself what is newly emerging,
But yet you expect this from another,
You want someone to notice you,
Romance you,
Explore you continuously.
You are not willing to get to know your own soul,
Then how can you expect this from someone else?
Dig deep within yourself,
And there you will find love.
Your heart beats without you asking,
Your cells form without you needing to be worthy.
You do not need to earn love,
Dear one.
And as the great poet Rumi says,
Love is the bridge between you and everything.
You are infinity representing itself in finite form.
You were created in love,
By love,
To be love,
And to love you shall return.
The search is over,
There is nothing to find,
You are complete,
And any mirrors that come into your life will be a blessing,
Showing you the love that you have inside and outside of you,
All around you.
