Meditation is something everyone can do. Practicing can help improve your health and wellbeing.
Explore MeditationMeg Long/Kavalya Shanti Kaur began practicing yoga in 2003 while serving as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya, East Africa. Her career in Public Health and yogic path moved in parallel as she utilized the breath, movement, and awareness components of yoga to function in high stress environments while serving high risk populations. In time, Kavalya Shanti was introduced to yogic philosophy and history, shifting into yoga as a lifestyle and mindset. Kavalya Shanti transitioned to teaching yoga in 2010 after completing a trauma-informed teacher training with a local non-profit who provided yoga to prisons, domestic violence shelters, drug & alcohol rehabilitation centers, and recovery communities. Kavalya Shanti currently holds a 200hr E-RYT certification through yoga Alliance and Level 2 (500hr) Kundalini yoga certification through KRI and Yoga Alliance. Additionally, she is an Adjunct Associate Professor at New Mexico State University with the Conroy Honors College. She is also faculty at the Shanti Yoga School’s 200hr vinyasa teacher training in El Paso, TX and owner/operator of Radiate Wellness, LLC. Most importantly, Kavalya Shanti has experienced that a daily meditation practice is an avenue to find peace, fulfillment, and contentment in life. Life doesn't necessarily become easier, the ability to move through life with ease has developed. She is sharing meditations and practices that have benefited her and I hopes they do the same for you.
