Through a soothing visualization, you’ll reconnect with the parts of yourself that once delighted in the simplest moments, remembering that joy has always been yours. This practice will help you release the weight of stress and expectations, inviting lightness back into your heart. By the end, you’ll feel more open, energized, and deeply connected to your essence. Joy isn’t something outside of you—it’s who you’ve always been.

Hello beautiful soul.

Today I invite you on a journey.

A journey back to joy.

Back to lightness.

Back to the raw essence of you.

If joy has felt distant or buried or hidden under responsibilities or stress or just the weight of the world that you've been trying to carry,

I want you to know that it hasn't really left you.

That joy that you haven't been able to access is still within you.

It's just waiting.

Waiting to be remembered.

Waiting to be seen.

Waiting to be recovered.

And that is what we are going to do today.

So as we begin,

Find a comfortable position.

Allow your body to relax,

Either sitting comfortably or lying down.

And allow things to become still in your movement.

For a moment,

Shift just enough to loosen up the tension.

Relax into some stillness.

Settle into what feels relaxed and natural for you in this moment.

And close your eyes if that feels good for you.

Or simply soften your gaze.

And take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and then exhale fully out through your mouth.

As you exhale,

Let go of any tension,

Worry,

Or distraction that might be pulling you away from this moment.

This precious moment.

And take another deep breath in,

Filling yourself with warmth and ease and gentleness.

And then exhale out through your mouth,

Allowing your body to sink deeper into comfort and rest.

With each breath,

Notice yourself softening,

Your shoulders relaxing,

Your jaw unclenching,

Your hands releasing and letting go.

Little by little,

With each inhale and exhale,

You arrive more fully in this moment.

More relaxed.

More soft.

There is nothing that you need to be doing right now besides being with yourself.

There's nowhere else you need to be.

This is your time.

This is your gift.

To yourself today.

Your loving compassion.

Now,

As you continue to sink into a restful and relaxed state,

I want you to picture in your mind's eye yourself standing at the edge of a path.

This isn't any path.

This is your path.

This is the path that will lead you back to the parts of yourself that bring you joy and lightness and playfulness and enthusiasm and laughter.

Notice what this path looks like.

Is it a winding forest trail kissed by the sun?

Or maybe this path is alongside a soft beach where the waves are gently meeting the shore.

You can hear them crashing and you can feel the coldness touch your toes.

Or is it going through a meadow filled with wildflowers swaying in the breeze?

You can smell them,

The delightful fragrances dancing in your nose.

Maybe it's something else entirely.

Something that's not even of this world.

Trust what comes to you.

What feels the most joyous and light and natural.

This is your space.

Let it surround you.

Notice what you see,

What you feel,

What you hear,

What you smell.

As you immerse yourself in this landscape that is uniquely yours,

Take a slow step forward,

Feeling the ground beneath you solid,

Steady,

Welcoming.

With each step,

Leave behind the weight of any stress or expectation.

Anything that's weighing you down,

Anything that's dimming your light,

Feel it fall off.

Feel it be released.

Now,

Ahead of you,

You see a version of yourself.

Maybe it's your younger self.

Or maybe it's a part of you.

A part of you that radiates pure joy.

Make sure that you can see this part of you clearly.

Whether it's a past or present version,

Maybe even a future version.

This is you.

It is a part of you that has been waiting,

Eager to meet you.

Eager to connect.

They are the embodiment of your experience of joy.

Notice how they move,

Lighthearted and free and full of life.

Maybe they dance or spin or skip joyfully down the path towards you.

Maybe they laugh,

Face turned to the sun.

Really notice the way they take up space.

They are embodied with joy.

Begin to approach them and as you get closer,

They turn to you with a warm knowing smile.

This is you.

They know you and they know joy intimately.

They're happy to see you.

They've been waiting.

This is the part of you that knows how to laugh freely,

To play without hesitation,

That delights in the simple things.

This version of yourself holds out their hands,

Inviting you,

Inviting you to remember what used to bring you joy.

Was it dancing without a care?

Creating something with your hands?

Running barefoot in the grass?

Singing at the top of your lungs?

Playing?

Exploring?

Imagining?

Allow memories to surface where you felt the most joy.

Feel the sensations of those moments.

The pure,

Uninhibited joy,

The ease,

The freedom.

Allow these moments of joy to sweep over you.

Feel their texture and lightness.

Notice a smile on your face as you recall what it felt like to be in this state of joy.

You're standing here with this version of yourself that knows joy as their natural state and you are recalling these memories together.

They're helping you remember.

And as they do,

A warm golden light begins to grow in your chest.

A spark of joy that has never left you begins to grow.

And with each breath it expands,

Getting bigger and bigger,

Filling your entire body,

Flowing through your arms and your legs,

Out to your fingertips and toes,

Until you are glowing with this energy of lightness,

Of playfulness,

Of delight.

You are not separate from joy.

You are joy.

It has always been a part of you,

Waiting to be seen,

Waiting to be reclaimed.

This version of yourself that's guiding you through this journey,

That sees you remembering and reclaiming your joy,

Smiles at you again,

Knowing that you're ready,

Knowing that you remember and that you are able to carry this feeling with you.

They take your hand,

Squeezing it gently before slowly stepping back.

And as they do,

They dissolve into a golden light that surrounds you and then is absorbed within you.

Take a deep breath in,

Allowing every spark,

Every glimmer of that light in.

Let all of the joy into your breath and let it settle into your heart.

And exhale,

Releasing any doubt,

Any hesitation,

Any concern or fear that joy isn't for you or isn't for you right now.

You know you can let those thoughts go.

You know that they don't serve you and that they're not true because you're holding this joy in your heart right now.

Take a few deep breaths in this state.

Notice your fingers and your toes.

Notice your chest rising and falling with the ease of this joy that you've reconnected with.

And you can begin to return to the present moment,

Saying a mental goodbye to the beautiful landscape you've been surrounded by for this journey,

This encounter with the part of you that knows joy.

Offer a moment of gratitude and thank this experience.

Thank that part of yourself and the environment that safely held you for this.

Feel that gratitude in your heart and then begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.

Begin to shift your body.

Notice it waking back up and reorienting to the space that you physically occupy.

Gently roll your shoulders,

Stretching if you need to.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes and see your current environment through this lens of of joy that's ever-present.

No matter what is going on in your life,

In your day,

No matter the hurt or the grief or the pain or the busyness,

This joy is still there.

It's still accessible.

It still lives within you and you can choose to pull it out.

So know this truth.

Know that this light is there always and you can return to this path and you can return to this part of yourself anytime.

You don't need to earn this.

It's yours.

It's already yours to claim,

To embrace,

To live.

Thank you for allowing yourself this time to reconnect with your joy.

Carry this lightness with you into your day and let it guide you.
