Hello and welcome.
My name is Annabelle and in today's meditation we are going to talk about finding peace in stress.
Take a deep breath,
Get comfortable and start to notice which parts of your body are touching something.
Maybe it's the floor,
Maybe you have a back rest.
Whatever it is,
Notice which parts of your body exactly are being supported and uplifted.
Today we're going to bring in a future point of stress or a past point of stress and then we're going to start to release it together.
So during this meditation I want you to do some box breathing.
It's such a successful,
Incredible,
Relaxing breath work that has such amazing results it's even taught in the Navy Seals.
And it's called box breath because you're breathing in through your nose to a count of four,
Holding on your inhale to a count of four,
Exhaling to a count of four and holding on your exhale for a count of four.
So let's try that now.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And keep going at your own pace with this.
Whilst you're doing this breath work I want you to start to imagine something that brings you a lot of stress.
Some people get stressed about what they're going through in the past.
Some people get stressed about everything that could possibly happen and others get stressed and others get stressed about the future and all the millions and trillions of possibilities.
So I want you to stay locked in on one thing that causes you an immense amount of stress.
Get really clear on what it is and imagine you're having to face that right now.
And keeping with that breath work I want you to notice how your body is reacting.
Are your shoulders closer to your ears?
Do you notice a lot of tension in your chest?
Are you hotter or colder than you feel like you should be?
Are your legs tense and tight?
Is your brow furrowed?
Is your breathing deep or shallow?
With all of these things just start to notice it.
We're not looking to change it at all.
Taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
I want you to just get to know this sensation of stress.
Knowing that when your body is reacting this way that you're still safe,
That everything's still going to be okay,
That you don't actually need to speed up to avoid this feeling.
So often just slowing down,
Coming back to center,
Is gonna help you the most.
So breathing into the tension,
Breathing into the discomfort,
And breathing into the unknown in the best way.
Knowing you're safe,
Knowing it's okay to be like this and that this feeling will pass.
Keeping with that four,
Inhale,
Hold,
Exhale,
Hold,
Breath work.
I want you to start to breathe in,
Imagining you're breathing in all this peace.
Because so often the reason of stress is that we don't.
So often the reason of stress is that we have the idea we have to do everything now.
In fact that is not the case.
You're doing exactly what you need to do.
And by slowing down,
By taking a deep breath,
Allowing yourself room to think,
To move,
To be.
Not only are you going to be your best,
You're going to perform your best.
Breathing in more peace,
Holding that in your body.
Holding that in your body.
Knowing how you can expand,
Knowing what you actually have to do right now,
Compared to the monument amount of tasks that are done in your future.
Taking time to also accept that you're exactly where you need to be right now.
That by this stress it's pushing you to evolve,
To become a new better version of yourself.
Finding a new limit of what you thought was possible.
And also finding new self-love,
New self-care,
To find your balance in this period.
Taking another deep breath.
Allowing so much more peace in.
Allowing yourself to realize what your to-do list is now,
Compared to the future.
Knowing you're so loved and so appreciated.
When you're ready,
Opening your eyes,
Coming back to the room.
You are so loved and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Knowing you are capable of everything you dream of.
