Today we are going to connect with the element of water.
You might think of the elements as an archetype.
In the same way that we might connect with a goddess,
The moon,
Or even an astrological sign,
We can connect with the energy and qualities represented by these archetypes and call upon them for support,
Healing,
Wisdom,
And guidance.
This is about cultivating a respectful and reciprocal relationship with the energies and living beings we are working with.
Rather than simply taking from an energy,
We are entering into relationship with it,
Listening,
Receiving,
And offering our own presence in return.
So wherever you are,
Begin by settling into your body.
Allow yourself to fully exhale.
And then take a nice,
Slow,
Gentle inhale.
And a nice,
Slow,
Gentle exhale.
A slow inhale.
And a slow exhale.
You Inhale.
And exhale.
Allow yourself to arrive here.
And begin to bring your awareness to the air moving in and out through your nose.
Notice the sensation of the breath as it enters your body.
And as it leaves.
Allow your breath to become an anchor,
Gently bringing you more fully into the present moment.
And as you continue to rest your awareness on your breath.
I'll walk you through what we'll be exploring together today.
The water element carries many different qualities and energies.
Water is often associated with emotional healing,
Intuition,
Inner wisdom,
Purification,
And the release of stagnant energy.
It can support us in moving through life with greater flexibility and fluidity,
Reminding us that we don't always have to force our way forward.
Water can also serve as a mirror,
Reflecting aspects of ourselves back to us and offering us an opportunity to see what remains beneath the surface.
Water is also deeply nourishing.
Water is traditionally associated with the sacral chakra,
Which is connected to qualities of creativity,
Emotion and feeling,
Sensuality,
Pleasure,
And our capacity to experience and move with what is present within us.
Today we're going to connect with some of these particular energies within the water archetype.
And as we move through this meditation,
If you find yourself drawn towards a quality or aspect of water that I haven't named here,
Please feel free to follow that poll.
There is no need to stay exactly where I guide you.
Allow yourself to explore.
Allow yourself to receive whatever your relationship with the water element has to offer you today.
And when it feels right.
We'll meet back together.
Now begin to bring your awareness to your sacral chakra,
The low belly.
Begin to send your breath along with your awareness into the belly.
Keeping your attention on this part of your body,
Intentionally breathing to and from the low belly.
With each breath,
Begin to establish and strengthen your connection to this part of your body,
To the water element.
As you strengthen your connection to the water element,
Allow yourself to be pulled towards a body of water.
Allow yourself to slip into the depths of your sacral chakra.
Finding yourself in a new reality.
A reality where you are met with a body of water.
And wherever you find yourself.
Begin to ground into your five senses.
Notice what you can see.
What you can feel and touch.
Notice what you can hear.
What you can smell.
And notice what you can taste.
Spend a few moments here grounding into your five senses.
Allowing yourself to observe and take in your surroundings through your senses.
Wherever you are,
Let's begin by focusing on the cleansing quality of water.
Let's ask the water for its assistance in collecting any unhealthy attachments,
Patterns,
Washing away anything that is weighing us down.
Anything that is ready to be released.
Any energy that we are carrying that isn't ours.
Allow yourself to receive this gift from the water Allow the water to cleanse,
To wash away,
To create space for something new.
Simply notice what comes forward for you.
Now let's focus on the quality of flow,
Of letting go and surrendering Can you allow yourself to be the water that flows,
The water that surrenders rather than grips?
Can you allow yourself to trust,
To find peace?
Be the water that flows,
That knows peace,
That surrenders.
Is anything being shown to you as you allow yourself to lean into this quality?
How does this feel in your body?
How might you navigate life?
Or a particular situation more differently.
What wisdom are you being reminded of as you embody this quality of flow.
Allow yourself to listen,
To receive.
Let's now focus on the quality of creativity and pleasure.
Let's ask the water to help you remember that you are the creator.
To help you remember your creative abilities.
Your capacity to create.
To express.
To bring something new into the world.
How does the water want to remind you of this?
Ask the water to help you remember that it's okay to taste the sweetness of life.
To soak in the beauty around you.
To engage with the passions and joys that light you up.
It's okay to let yourself be nourished by the beauty that exists around you.
And simply notice.
What wants to be remembered.
What wants to be felt.
What part of you is ready to experience more of the sweetness of life?
Let's now focus on the qualities of intuition and inner wisdom.
Let's begin to ask the water to assist you in strengthening your relationship to your inner wisdom and intuition.
Let's ask the water to help you remember your connection to ancient wisdom.
Wisdom that you carry from before you even took your first breath in this life.
Allow yourself to receive guidance and revelations from the water.
What is the water reflecting back to you when it comes to your relationship with your own inner wisdom?
Or perhaps what gets in the way of this connection.
Allow yourself to listen.
To receive.
And now.
.
.
What happens when you allow yourself to fully become the water?
You are the wave.
You are the raindrop.
You are the slow and steady flow.
Maybe you're even the tsunami,
Powerful and moving with immense force.
You are the home for animals and wildlife,
The dolphins,
The fish,
The coral.
You are all of these things.
From this place of being,
Being the water.
Allow yourself to simply experience the sensations Allow yourself to be fully present as the water.
As the waves.
The slow and steady flow.
The raindrop,
The home for other living beings.
Allow yourself to embody these experiences.
Maybe you begin to receive more cleansing,
A deeper sense of surrender,
A deeper connection to your creative sparks and the beauty around you,
More flow,
A stronger connection with your inner wisdom.
Allow yourself to simply be here,
To be present with the experience,
With what is.
And now begin to slowly deepen your breath.
Breathing to and from the low belly.
Slow,
Steady inhales.
And slow,
Steady exhales.
Begin to bring your awareness back to the air moving in and out of your nose.
Maybe take a moment to gently bring in your thinking mind and reflect on anything you would like to take with you from this experience.
Perhaps it is a reminder,
A remembrance,
Something you would like to continue working on or something you would like to continue strengthening within yourself.
Allow yourself to hold whatever feels meaningful for you.
Becoming more aware of your body.
And of the room or environment you are sitting in.
Begin to invite some gentle movement back into your body.
Maybe rolling out the neck,
Rolling out your wrists,
Placing your feet on the ground,
Or gently rolling over onto one side into a fetal position.
And when you feel ready,
Go ahead and gently blink your eyes open.
Thank you for joining me today.
I hope you enjoyed connecting with the element of water and that you were able to receive whatever you needed from your experience.
If you feel cold,
You're welcome to leave a comment or share your feedback.
And I hope to see you again soon.
With love,
Faith.
