Hi,
This is Nicole and I will be your guide on the Scorpio Releasing Visualization.
This short meditation will help you with the question,
What do we need to die or release to live more fully?
We will meet in a comfortable seated position.
Before you make your way to this position,
Release any tension in your body by shaking out your legs,
Wiggling your toes,
Rolling out your shoulders,
And maybe rolling out your neck.
As you make your way to a tall spine,
Let's take three deep breaths together to ground us.
As you inhale deeply,
Really fill your lungs with air and exhale,
Grounding where you are in this moment.
Inhale,
Expand your lungs,
Fill your ribcage with air and exhale,
Release.
And your last time,
Try to fill your lungs as much as possible and sigh it out.
Release any tension.
Ground yourself.
As you close your eyes,
Your physical eyes,
Start to open your mind's eye.
You hear the desert waking up around you.
You hear birds chirping.
You look around and see lizards scurrying and snakes slithering along the rocks.
Turkey vultures are circling for breakfast overhead.
You look out at the vastness of the sun starting to rise over the desert.
You are leaning up against big boulders with cactus growing out from it.
Dew is dripping off the cactus needles.
Hear the condor screeching in the distance.
A cool breeze blows across your skin.
As the first rays of sunlight hit your face,
The sun starts to warm you and you breathe it in like a reptile.
You feel the glow.
You start to notice more of the desert coming to life with the sun.
And you just observe in the beauty and the vastness.
As you're taking it all in,
You feel something small tickle your hand.
You look down and it is a scorpion.
It doesn't sting you and you're not afraid of it.
You bring it closer and observe it with curiosity.
This scorpion is your guide.
It wants to take away what is not serving you.
It wants you to listen to yourself.
Think of what thoughts,
Habits,
Or ideas are holding on to you or are standing in your way.
Think of at least two things you want to release or change in your daily life.
As you hold these two things,
The scorpion uses its tail and pokes your hand.
You immediately feel those ideas,
Those obstacles,
Those habits being removed from you.
You feel powerful.
And what else do you feel now that those things are removed?
You thank the scorpion guide and it scurries back under the rocks away from the sun.
You lay back and bask in the warm sun and your new felt power.
Sit here and the sensation in your body,
Your power,
Your inner strength.
What is it telling you?
Sit in this desert for as long as you need to embody this feeling so that you are able to bring this once you open your eyes.
Take as much time as you need.
Make sure to be gentle with yourself once you start to come out of the meditation.
