Dancing with Sheep by Emily Beth Up,

Down,

Up,

Down I jump with my feet.

I jump into my bed where I should be laying fast asleep.

One,

Two,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

I just jump five big jumps into the sky.

This sky has no limit,

Well maybe it might.

This sky is my ceiling where I stick my stick or stars to shine.

Says mom,

It's time to sleep.

Lay down on your bed and try to count sheep.

Blow a kiss and say goodnight.

I close my eyes and relax for the night.

Wait,

I see a sheep.

Where?

In my mind.

I see the sheep dancing in the moonlight.

Hey Mr.

Sheep,

Might I dance tonight?

Prancing and waltzing into the dazzling night.

One sheep,

Two sheep,

Dancing in the night.

Spinning,

Spinning,

Spinning in my mind.

Hey there,

Mr.

Sheep.

Mr.

Sheep number three.

Here are my friends.

Sheep one,

Two,

And you're number three.

Three dancing sheep,

Dancing in the night.

Three dancing sheep,

Jumping in a line.

Jump,

Jump,

Jump.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

One new sheep friend joined the jumping line.

One sheep,

Two sheep,

Three sheep,

Now four.

Four dancing sheep,

Jumping and dancing in my sleepy time world.

How many sheep will we see tonight?

I think there could be more,

Dancing in my mind.

I feel a little sleepy,

But not too sleepy to find.

Two more dancing sheep,

Dancing a wooly wool shake close behind.

Hey Mr.

Sheep,

Five and six.

Come jump in and join the dancing line.

Shaking that wool into a fluffy,

Fluff-shaked ball.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Six fluffy wool sheep fluffing into a big fluffy fluff ball.

Rolling and tumbling into bigger fluffy balls.

Three more sheep rolling in,

Rolling past all that balled up wool.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine.

Nine rolling sheep now in this dancing,

Jumping,

Rolling,

Fluffy world line.

Nine tired sheep laid down,

Snuggled and cuddled in.

All into fluffy,

Fluff-balled wool,

Nuzzled tightly in.

Wait a minute,

I see just one more sheep.

Slowly dancing with a yawn bigger than big.

Snuggled and tucked right beside our fluffy,

Fluff-balled wool,

Dancing,

Jumping sheep friends.

Sheep number 10's yawn turns into a light,

Cute snore.

It's time to whisper and count from the start.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine,

Ten.

Ten yawning sheep who are trying to sleep.

Shh,

Let them sleep.

Till next time,

Goodnight.
