A guided meditation using a C note singing bowl and chimes to cleanse the root chakra and relax the body. In the meditation you will walk through images of the lower body to gently release tension and gain awareness.

Hi!

Today I'm going to guide you through a meditation to support and cleanse the root chakra.

I'll be using my voice,

The koshi chimes,

Table chimes,

And a singing bowl tuned to 256 Hertz or the note C.

We'll begin by finding a comfortable position.

Either sit or lie down.

Let's start by taking a few deep breaths in through the nose for four counts and then exhale through a gentle hum.

You want to make sure that your jaw is relaxed,

Teeth separated inside of your mouth.

Go ahead,

When you're ready,

Exhale completely,

Taking a nice deep breath in through the nose for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

And hum.

Breath.

Continue to breathe in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Now I want you to become aware of your big toe on your right foot and imagine that there's a small red light glowing around it.

It's okay if you're not a visual person.

Maybe you just sense or know that the red light is there.

Now imagine that red light grows and spreads over to your second toe,

Then the third,

The fourth,

And the fifth toe.

On your next breath,

You watch that red light move over to the ball of your right foot,

The heel,

The top of the foot,

And the ankle.

Imagining that red glow building into the shin,

The calf,

The top of your kneecap,

And the toe of your kneecap.

On your next breath,

You watch that red light grow into the top of the thigh and then the back of the thigh.

Moving back down to the big toe on your left foot and imagining that red glowing light shining through that big toe.

On your next breath,

That red light grows to the second toe,

Then to the third,

The fourth,

And the fifth toe.

Breathing in through the nose and watching that red light spread to the ball of your left foot,

The heel,

The top of the foot,

And the ankle.

Imagining that red glowing light building into the shin,

The calf,

The top of the kneecap,

And the back of the kneecap.

As you breathe in once more,

You watch that red light grow into the top of the left thigh and then to the back of the thigh.

Now in the center of the tailbone is this glowing red light.

With every inhale,

It grows brighter.

With every exhale,

You watch this light draw out anything that doesn't serve you any longer in the root chakra.

Continuing to breathe and letting yourself relax through the rest of this sound bath.

I'll let you know when it's time to end.

Let's take another deep breath in through the nose,

Opening the mouth to breathe out.

Again,

Breathing in and exhale.

Last time.

You can begin wiggling your toes,

Rolling out your ankles,

Stretching in any way that feels good for your body.

And when you're ready,

Gently opening your eyes,

Rolling over to go to sleep,

Or sitting up at your own pace.
