Welcome.
This practice is a conversation.
A quiet one with yourself.
You're settled enough right now to listen inward.
So.
.
.
Let's lean into that.
Allow your eyes to soften or close,
Whatever feels right for you in this moment.
And take one easy breath.
And now.
Gently ask inside.
And we're not demanding an answer.
Or just opening a door.
What do I need right now?
Whatever comes,
A word,
An image,
A feeling.
Or nothing at all.
Let it be received.
Without arguments or judgments.
We don't have to act on it.
Or even understand it.
Just let it be heard.
Let's ask once more,
A little softer.
Like we're asking someone we love.
What do I need?
That I've been too busy to notice.
Maybe something rises.
Maybe it's rest.
Or space.
Or something to end or something to begin.
Maybe it's just quiet.
Whatever it is,
Notice what it's like.
To be asked.
By yourself,
Kindly.
Many of us.
Have waited a long time to be asked.
If something did come,
Take a moment to honor it.
Not with a plan,
Just with acknowledgement.
I hear you.
That matters.
And if nothing came honor that too.
Sometimes the deeper self speaks later.
In a walk.
A dream.
A moment at the sink.
This asking is the practice.
The answer keeps its own schedule.
And before we finish.
.
.
Place one hand on your heart.
Or wherever feels right.
And one quiet breath.
A small thank you to the one who listened.
And to the one who spoke.
They're both you.
And whenever you're ready.
Return gently,
A little more acquainted with yourself.
Than a few minutes ago.
