As we begin,
Find a position that feels natural and comfortable for you.
If it feels right,
Then it is right.
So let your spine be straight,
Yet relaxed.
And if you haven't already,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a deep,
Steady breath in.
And as you act out,
Slowly,
Allow yourself to settle fully into this moment.
Just breathe and become aware.
Now,
Let's take a few grounding breaths together.
So,
With me.
Breathing in.
I know I'm breathing in.
Breathing out.
I know I'm breathing out.
Excellent.
Okay.
Breathing in.
I know I'm breathing in.
Breathing out.
I know I'm breathing out.
And one more grounding breath together.
Breathing in.
I know I'm breathing in.
Breathing out.
I know I'm breathing out.
Allow the breath to settle just here,
Just now.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Let us take a moment to notice something.
For the moments that matter most,
The mind often becomes the loudest.
It rushes ahead.
Into the future.
Into worst-case scenarios.
Into fear of what might happen.
And for many of us,
We've spent years believing this means something is wrong.
That we're anxious.
That we're not ready.
That we need to fix it.
But what if that voice is not a problem?
What if it's just a part of you trying to keep you safe?
Not because something is wrong with you.
But because your mind is trying to protect you.
In this practice,
We're not here to stop the thoughts.
We're here to see them clearly.
And come back to what is real.
The mind has a habit.
Before something important,
Before something real,
It can move towards the worst place.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Imagining what could go wrong.
How things might fail.
How it might feel.
If it doesn't go the way you hoped.
Just notice if that pattern is there for you.
No need to change it.
No need to push it away.
Just notice it.
As you breathe.
Seeing the mind without becoming the mind.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And in this noticing,
A small space begins to open.
Between you and the thought.
And in that space,
It's a little more calm.
A little more clarity.
Just stay here.
Noticing.
Breathing.
Allowing.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
To understand it.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
This is not weakness.
This is the mind trying to protect you.
Trying to prepare.
Trying to keep you safe.
But it doesn't always know the difference.
Between what is real.
And what is imagined.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And as you see that.
Gently bring your attention into the body.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Feel the breath.
The chest rising.
And falling.
Feel the body.
Support it.
Just as it is.
Right here.
Nothing is wrong.
Right now.
You are safe.
Just breathing.
Just here.
Just now.
As the thoughts come.
As we know they will.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
See if you can gently say to yourself.
This is my mind trying to protect me.
And then return to the breath.
Okay,
See if you can gently say that to yourself again.
This is my mind trying to protect me.
And then return to the breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
No fighting.
No following.
Just noticing.
And returning.
Again.
And again.
To the breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
By allowing what is.
You might notice something.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Maybe a pull to go back into thinking.
To fix.
Control.
Or move away from this moment.
Or maybe nothing at all.
But whatever is here.
Let it be here.
So okay.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
There is nothing to give up.
Just noticing.
And allowing.
And again.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Staying with what's real.
Here and now.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing out.
Into the body.
Into this moment.
Nothing to solve.
Nothing to prove.
Just this breath.
Just this moment.
Stay here.
Just here.
Just now.
And as you breathe.
Tightly say to yourself.
Breathing in.
I am here.
Breathing out.
This is now.
Breathing in.
I am truly here.
Breathing out.
This is truly now.
Let that be enough.
Nothing else is needed.
Just this.
Just now.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Have we come to the close of this practice?
Take a slightly deeper breath in.
And a slower,
Steady breath out.
Excellent.
And again.
Breathing in.
I know I'm breathing in.
Breathing out.
I know I'm breathing out.
Okay,
With me one more time.
Breathing in.
I know I'm breathing in.
Breathing out.
I know I'm breathing out.
Nothing has changed.
And yet something has shifted.
You don't need to follow every thought.
You don't need to believe every feeling.
You can return again and again to what is real.
Breathing in.
I know I'm breathing in.
Breathing out.
I know I'm breathing out.
You are loved.
And you are enough.
