It's easy to forget with all of our stressors that we absolutely can choose to feel peaceful and calm.
This recording will help you cultivate peace and calm using havening with affirmations,

I'll briefly explain before we begin.
Havening is a somatic modality that soothes the amygdala in our brain,
Which plays a crucial role in our emotional processing.
Loving self-touch raises delta brain waves,
Which aid relaxation and facilitates subconscious communication.
In this recording,
Our communication will be with affirmations,
Which are positive statements,
Informations,
Which are for times the affirmations feel a bit out of reach,
And affirmations,
Which are questions rather than statements,
Because when we ask our brain a question,
It searches to create the answer.

I invite you to get as comfy as you can.
There are three movements in havening.
Crossing your arms in front of you,
You stroke from shoulder down to elbow.
So right hand strokes down left top arm,
And left hand strokes right top arm,
Shoulder down to elbow,
Back up,
Shoulder down to elbow.
The second move is simply swiping your palms together,
Like if you were applying lotion,
But just keeping the lotion between your palms.
And the last move is gently caressing your face,
One palm on each side of your face,
Down from your forehead to your chin.
If your hands or arms get tired,
You can simply rub palms on your thighs,
Stomach,
Even a soft blanket or a pet.
It can be comfortable if you're sitting,
To place a pillow on your lap.
So let's start the slow havening touch now.
Simply move through the movements according to your intuition.
If one movement feels nicer than the others,
It's perfect to just stick with that one.
