I am safe So imagine if you were laying in bed healing from a cold And all of a sudden a tiger starts chasing you You're not going to ponder Should I continue to lay here because I don't feel good or should I run?

You're going to Automatically run because the tiger is the biggest threat to survival Your body is going to stop healing the cold and Use all of its energy and resources to survive When we have a cumulative stress Created from stuffed uncomfortable emotions Spanning our whole life It's very similar to constantly being chased by a tiger With my one-on-one clients We focus on Emptying that whole stress cup if you will Clearing all of the stuff negative emotions so that the tiger completely goes away During this recording we'll be doing the same thing effectively And communicating to our subconscious that we are safe There is no tiger Because It's when our body feels safe It utilizes its energy and resources to heal To lose the weight to Become pregnant for some of my clients whatever the goal is Whatever you think is hindering that goal The truth is always Your body doesn't feel safe enough And so just begin by putting your hands on your heart Just saying out loud I am completely safe And without overthinking it or overanalyzing it does that feel a hundred percent true There's no wrong answer don't judge your answer if it comes up as only 2% true.

I don't want you to Freak out or attach any scary stories to it.

It's just a measurement It's just an awareness And after repeating this recording recheck it After Doing these recordings two or three times a day for a week recheck it This will motivate you to continue to do the recordings it will help you realize The huge impact that this will have on your life And the impact you are having as far as contributing to your health I want you to Take your right hand and Cup Underneath your left armpit And then you're going to take your left hand and wrap it around And your left hand lands on top of your right shoulder And if that feels awkward you can absolutely do the opposite So basically one hand is underneath one armpit and the other hand is wrapped around Landing on the opposite shoulder So it feels like you're hugging yourself and you are This is a somatic movement Instilling safety If you can do this move with a weighted blanket on top of you that would be even an extra bonus Or just feel into this for a moment And maybe you even want to switch hands and see what that feels like Breathing deeply and slowly Ready to communicate to your subconscious that you are safe And you may have lots of things popping up Reasons why you're not safe Maybe as clouds in the sky They're just thoughts A way to prove that you have some control over your thoughts Is to think of one of those things as a sign that you're not safe Is to Think of one of those disturbing thoughts and listen to it in Slow motion and now rewind it See how you can manipulate that We can't always choose Which thoughts?

Popcorn into our mind But we can always choose Which thoughts to fuse to To connect with to dwell upon Take a breath And now go ahead and place one hand over your heart and one hand over your belly Noticing how your own touch does soothe you Continuing to breathe Connecting with your body Connecting with yourself And think of one of those Not so helpful thoughts that pops into your mind Frequently We're going to apply a diffusion technique To unhook from it Which is simply saying In front of the thought so let's just say the thought is I'm never going to heal I'm never going to heal So you just add to that I'm having the thought That I'm never going to heal And you can feel that tangible distance that gives you And then you can add I notice I'm having the thought I'm never going to heal And just enjoy that distance and use it on any one of your own particular thoughts I notice I'm having the thought Continuing to breathe notice if your chest or your stomach has maybe Started to breathe more shallow since you are bringing up a disturbing thought Noticing that you have control over your breath no matter what you're thinking you can always Cue your body to take a deeper breath And now I want you to place one hand over your forehead and The other hand in the back of your head Wherever it feels comfortable and notice this sensation of being held Breathing And bring to your mind And bring to your mind a picture of safety It could be anything anywhere Anytime it could be 20 years ago.

It could be 20 years in the future.

Anybody could be there It could be a beautiful memory Surrounded by loved ones on a beautiful day Many choose a day at the beach For me personally when I was In a really deep healing mode I Couldn't connect to anything.

And so I chose a Thomas Kinkade painting Of a beautiful cottage settled in the mountains Next to a creek With beautiful flowers and a blue sky So if you don't have any safe memories,

That's okay you can create one now Your brain sends Identical chemicals with good pictures or negative Whether they really exist or not This is the power of our mind And go ahead and just release your hands now Bring them flat together Like a prayer position and just start rubbing them together Slowly rubbing your palms together All of these hand movements are sending additional soothing messages to your nervous system Further connecting to this picture of safety in your mind Adding as much detail as possible so noticing Anything you smell any textures any colors And reminding yourself how safe it feels If you're at the beach maybe Feeling how it feels to walk barefoot on wet sand and how the sand goes in between your toes Smelling the salt water hearing a seagull perhaps or the laughter of children Maybe you felt safe with your grandmother And you can feel that grandma hug so genuine so loving Maybe you're playing a highlight reel of different safety scenes.

Maybe it's all of these The idea is connecting to the feeling Of being safe because as you connect to this feeling It's sending messages to every cell in your body That you are safe And it's time to mobilize Energy towards healing And let's do a couple of rounds of tapping just go to the top of your head take a deep slow breath I am safe Eyebrow I really am safe Side of your eye maybe I am safe Under your eyes I am safe Maybe I am safe Under your eye I think of all of the statements.

I say to myself all day every day I am sick.

I am scared.

I am hopeless And I throw those up into the sky and let them float away like a beautiful cloud Chin those are all just thoughts And I can diffuse from those thoughts anytime Collarbone I can always return to thoughts that are loving and kind Under your arm I am safe I am safe I am safe On top of your head take a breath If somebody I loved deeply was sick and scared I would reassure them I Would remind them that I am here that they are okay that they are safe Eyebrow So I do that for myself right now Side of your eye I am here for me Under eye I am okay Under your nose I am safe Chin Knowing that this repetition is such a beautiful loving act I am safe Even if only part of me can connect to it,

That's okay Under your arm the fact is I am safe I am safe Hands on your heart Take a deep slow breath breathing in safe energy Connecting back to that image of safety breathing that whole scene into your heart Contributing to heart brain coherence right now heart rate variability Contributing to your healing contributing to your peace Contributing to your safety Breathing in safe energy into your heart Knowing that you can return to this Anytime or several times throughout your day Just connecting your hand over your heart breathing in safe energy

This was incredible. Thank you for the suggestion of connecting with a painting. I imagined Edward Hopper's Nighthawks and myself in the scene...sitting in a warm Cafe at night and the smell of coffee, that faint, sweet ice-cream parlor and cleaner smell and the waiter bringing me a warm piece of pie. Sitting on the seat, looking into the darkness outside and inhaling the safety of the moment inside, while a refrigerator fan whirred nearby. I have not been able to leave my house in over a year and a half due to health issues and this practice was just what I meeded. Do you have more practices for the subconscious?
