Welcome to this cord cutting meditation.

Now before we begin I want to mention that I will use the word visualize throughout this meditation and for some visualizing can be challenging and that's completely okay.

I want you to just know that whatever you experience during this process is working for you so just trust.

Okay so get yourself into a comfortable position either lying down or sitting up,

Whatever feels best to you and I want you to feel the connection to the surface beneath you.

Really allow yourself to sink into it and relax and now take a deep breath in and hold it at the top for a count of three and then slowly exhale.

Again breathe deeply in and hold at the top for three and slowly exhale.

One last time,

Breathe in deeply and then exhale slowly.

Now I want you to imagine a bright light surrounding your entire body.

I want you to feel its gentle glow on your face.

It's soft,

Warm,

Comforting.

Know that you are protected in this light as it forms a shield around you.

Now think about the person,

The situation or the thing that you wish to release.

Maybe it's a limiting belief,

An outdated habit or a person you no longer wish to be connected to.

Whatever it is,

Be very clear about it now.

Visualize it appearing in front of you.

It's okay,

You are safe within your protective circle of light.

Look directly at what you are releasing.

See it for what it truly is.

Acknowledge that it no longer serves you and in order for you to grow and move forward in peace,

It's time for it to go.

Everything has its time and place so let go of any regrets.

Maybe you need to this before but now you do not.

And now take a deep breath in and you begin to notice a connection between you and what you are releasing.

This connection may appear as a cord,

A rope,

A chain or something else entirely.

Maybe it's connected at your heart,

Your navel or anywhere else on your body.

However it appears,

It's perfect.

There's trust in your intuition.

Now I want you to look at this connection and say the time has come to release what no longer serves me.

I will not allow you to hold me any longer.

I release you with love.

I release you with light.

Now I want you to imagine that you've got something in your hands to cut the cord.

Maybe this is a sword,

Scissors or whatever feels right to you.

And now visualize yourself using this tool to cut the cord.

Maybe this happens easily or perhaps you need to put in more effort.

No matter how it happens,

Know that you are strong enough to do this and it is for your highest good.

It's important to acknowledge that feeling sad about what you are letting go of is okay.

It's natural to feel sadness when releasing something that once held significance.

However feeling sad doesn't mean you have to keep it in your life.

If at any point this feels too intense,

Remember that you can pause,

You can take a breath and you can return to this process when you feel ready.

Once this cord is severed,

I want you to allow yourself to feel whatever emotions arise.

Maybe it's that sadness,

Joy and peace.

All of this is okay.

There are no bad emotions so just allow them to flow.

If it feels overwhelming,

Just simply breathe.

Just know that you are safe.

I want you to just take this moment and acknowledge the strength it took to do this.

It isn't easy to say goodbye or to let go but in doing so you create space for new growth and evolution.

Now take a deep breath in and as you exhale know that this cord cutting is complete.

I want you to notice how you're feeling in this moment.

Whether you feel lighter,

Clearer or perhaps simply more at ease.

We're going to start to bring some awareness now back to your body.

I want you to feel that surface beneath you.

I want you to move your fingers,

Your toes,

Maybe roll your shoulders,

Gentle stretch,

Whatever movement feels good to you.

Just allow yourself to come back into this present space in your own time.

Just take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.

I want you to feel fully grounded in the here and now.

Again just make sure you feel that surface beneath you supporting you.

Then when you're ready you can gently open your eyes,

Bringing this sense of release and peace with you into the rest of your day.
