Welcome.
We begin by taking a few deep,
Gentle breaths and with each breath in,
Draw in calm.
And with each breath out,
Let your body soften and release.
Take a little longer on the exhale if it feels good,
Allowing each out breath to melt away tension,
Stress or heaviness.
And now simply observe your breath as it moves through your body,
There's nothing to change,
Just let it flow naturally like a soft wave.
And take a moment now to gather your energy,
Wherever your mind or heart has wandered today,
Invite it back home into this moment.
Calling all parts of yourself gently back to centre,
Bringing your mind,
Your body and your spirit into harmony.
Let your mind release what it no longer needs to hold,
Let your body soften and surrender anything it's ready to let go of.
And now we'll move into a gentle wave of relaxation.
Bring your awareness to the top of your head and imagine a soft wave of peace beginning here and slowly moving down.
Feel this wave flow over your forehead,
Softening your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Let your face completely relax.
This peaceful wave now moves down your neck and into your shoulders.
And feel your shoulders drop with each exhale,
Letting go of what you've been carrying.
Now the wave moves down your chest,
Your belly,
Gently softening and relaxing every muscle.
Feel it move down your back,
Upper back,
Middle back,
Lower back,
Melting any tension along your spine.
Now let this wave move into your hips,
Breathe into this area,
Letting it open and release.
The wave continues down your thighs,
Through your knees,
Your calves and all the way to the soles of your feet.
Imagine any remaining tension flowing out through your feet and into the earth.
And now that your body feels calm and safe and at peace,
I want you to begin to imagine yourself in a beautiful,
Peaceful place.
This could be a meadow,
A forest,
A beach,
Anywhere that brings you a deep sense of comfort and safety.
Take a moment to fully take it in.
What do you see?
What do you hear?
What scents are in the air?
What do you feel underneath your feet?
Let yourself arrive here completely.
Now in this peaceful place you notice a child nearby.
They may be playing,
Resting or simply sitting quietly.
Just observe them gently with love and curiosity.
Notice the details.
What do they look like?
What is their expression?
Their energy?
How do they move?
This is your inner child.
A pure,
Precious part of you.
Here to be seen,
To be loved and remembered.
Take a moment to connect with them without needing to do anything.
Just be present.
To one side of the child,
You might notice a misty,
Dark bubble.
And within it,
You sense emotions they've carried,
Like fear,
Sadness or feelings of not being enough.
There's no need to go into the details.
Just simply acknowledge it with compassion.
This child,
Like all children,
Tried to make sense of big emotions.
Maybe they formed beliefs like I'm not good enough,
I'm not safe or I don't matter.
They were trying to protect themselves.
It's okay.
You're here now.
Take a gentle,
Loving breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Allow those old stories to begin to dissolve.
Let love surround them.
You might want to wish to place a hand on your heart or extend your arms toward the child and simply say,
You are safe now.
I see you.
You are so deeply loved.
Feel your love pouring towards them and watch as the dark bubble begins to fade and disappear.
Now on the other side of the child,
Notice a bright,
Glowing bubble.
This one is full of joy,
Laughter,
Creativity and freedom.
You may see flashes of happy memories or feel the warmth of emotions like wonder,
Silliness,
Love.
This is also a part of you.
This light still lives within you.
See how the child lights up in its presence.
Notice their smile,
Their sparkle,
Their playfulness.
You carry that spark too.
Stretch your arms out now and embrace this beautiful child.
Feel their love and joy infuse your entire being.
They are you and you are them.
And now,
We're going to take a moment to say goodbye for now.
So let them know how grateful you are.
Let them know you'll return whenever you choose.
This is not a farewell.
It's simply a pause.
Because your inner child is always within you.
Always just a breath,
A moment,
A heartbeat away.
Feel them gently returning to your heart like a warm light.
Held,
Safe,
Loved.
And now breathe in gratitude for the connection,
The memories and the love.
And let this gratitude fill your body.
And let it radiate out in all directions.
I want you now to begin to gently return to the space that you're in.
And start by feeling the surface beneath you.
Whether it's a chair,
The floor,
Your bed.
Feel your body on that surface.
You are deeply connected back to that body.
Start to wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
Gently move your shoulders.
Let your body awaken.
Maybe you want to give yourself a big hug.
And when you feel ready,
Open your eyes,
Bringing with you a sense of calm,
Of wholeness and connection.
Know that you can return to this space,
This child,
This love,
Whenever you need.
You are held.
You are loved.
You are home.
