Hello,
My name is Kali from Everything is Temporary.
And thank you for taking the time out of your day to join me.
For this rainbow restorative listening reset called the Bridge of Seven Colors.
Settle yourself comfortably.
Either seated.
Or lying down.
Try to ensure that you won't be disturbed.
By other people or devices.
If you feel you might fall asleep for the night.
During this journey.
Then just prepare yourself.
And your space for sleep.
And if you feel you might become hungry.
Thirsty.
Or in need of a bathroom break.
Just pause this recording and return to it once everything is dealt with.
Now if it feels comfortable.
Softly close your eyes.
Or if you'd prefer.
Just soften your gaze into the middle distance.
And let a wave of relaxation flow down through your whole body.
From the top.
Of your head to the tips of your toes.
Feel a melting.
Relax every tight muscle.
And a gentle softening spread through your entire body.
As you relax even more deeply into the comfort and support of your chair or bed.
And now we're going to take a few deep relaxing breaths together.
Will be breathing in through the nose and out through your open mouth.
So let's begin.
Draw in a breath through your nose and hold and open your mouth to release it.
And again.
Draw in clean,
Fresh air through your nose and hold.
And through your open mouth,
Expel that stale air.
And once more in through the nose a full lung of cleansing air and hold.
And through your open mouth with a sigh release every last particle of stale air.
And now.
We are ready to begin our journey.
To the bridge of seven colors.
In an old story passed on from long,
Long ago,
Told by travellers of the mountains,
There was once a hidden bridge.
Made entirely of light.
It appeared only after storms.
It was not built by hands nor carved from stones.
It was the sacred rainbow.
The elders said that anyone whose mind had become tangled with worry could cross this bridge.
And as they walked across its colors,
Their burdens would grow lighter.
Settle yourself even more comfortably now.
And imagine in your mind's eye that you have arrived.
At the edge of those mythical mountains.
The storm has just passed.
Drops of rain still rest on the leaves and stones.
The air smells fresh and clean.
And you walk slowly along a quiet path.
Your breathing becomes steady.
And your steps.
Become gentle.
Ahead of you,
Across the valley,
The sacred rainbow of the tales told by generations begins to appear.
It deepens bright and wide,
A glowing arc of color stretching from one hill to the next.
You you You approach it slowly.
The light of the rainbow.
Touches the ground.
Illuminating the path.
And as you step towards it.
Something begins to shift.
You The first color is red.
It is warm and grounding.
And as you walk under it,
The small tensions in your body begin to soften.
Your feet grow heavy against the earth.
And your legs release.
The effort of the day.
The second colour is orange.
And a soft warmth spreads through your chest and stomach,
The place where anxiety sometimes gathers.
The warmth of the rainbow loosens it.
The tightness fades.
The third color is yellow.
And a gentle brightness builds your mind.
The busy thoughts that were spinning before begin to slow.
Like clouds drifting across the sky.
They move without resistance.
The fourth color is green.
A deep calm flows through your shoulders,
Your neck,
Into your back.
Muscles that were quietly holding stress.
Begin to release.
You did not even realize that they were tight.
Now they soften.
The color is blue.
Your breathing slows.
In and out Each breath is smooth and easy,
Your heart settled into a quiet rhythm.
The sixth color is indigo.
A deep stillness spreads behind your eyes.
This place where worry often lingers becomes cool and calm.
Thoughts become quiet like a lake.
The seventh color is violet,
The softest of all.
It settles gently.
Over your whole body.
Peaceful calm.
You The bridge of colors glows quietly around you.
And you continue to pass slowly through it.
But now there is no weight on your shoulders.
No storm in your mind.
Only a quiet car.
The rainbow does not ask you to hurry.
It simply holds the space for you to rest.
And as you stand beneath its light.
You realise something.
The elders always knew.
Rainbows are not only in the sky.
They appear wherever storms have passed.
They appear wherever patience and stillness meet.
You breathe slowly.
The air is calm.
The mountains are silent.
And the bridge of colors remains above you.
A quiet promise.
Every storm ends.
Every mind can rest.
And just beyond the rain.
Peace always waits.
And if now is your normal bedtime,
You will gently drift off into a deeply refreshing sleep.
And if you need to resume your day.
You will slowly bring your awareness back to your current environment.
And gently open your eyes.
