Most of us were not raised under ideal conditions,
With ideal parents.
Many of us have some programming that we would like to change and many of us feel fundamentally some form or sense of I'm not good enough.
And it may not be conscious but we often see it in the places where we hold ourselves back in life where we subconsciously self-sabotage.
So in today's meditation I'm going to implant some positive truths some positive affirmations to help reprogram us with a better outlook on ourselves.
So taking a deep breath in and releasing and another deep breath and just letting that go and just settling yourself in a comfortable position letting your shoulders relax and taking a third deep breath in when you're ready you can slowly close your eyes and becoming aware of the sounds coming from outside the room or the space that you're in just simply noticing not judging whether it's a pleasant sound or an unpleasant sound just being aware and now moving your attention to the sounds within the room within the space that you're in and finally noticing the sounds of your own body maybe the sound of your breath your own body shifting its position maybe a sound from your belly and noticing the rise and fall of your belly how deep or shallowly it moves with each in-breath the way your chest rises with each in-breath and falls with each out-breath and imagining if you can the breath coming in and flowing all the way through your body all the way to your feet to the tips of your toes the oxygen fusing your cells from the point where you breathe in throughout every cell of your body and just witness that for several breaths and if your mind has wandered and focused on a thought bring your focus now back to your breath and to the weight of your body in this moment I'm going to read a series of affirmations which you are welcome to repeat out loud or silently to yourself whichever way feels more comfortable to you and I will repeat each affirmation twice because I exist I am worthy because I exist I am good enough because I exist I am good enough because I exist I deserve abundance because I exist I deserve abundance I am capable I am capable I am courageous I am deserving I am deserving I love myself I love myself and now continuing to breathe and just letting these affirmations sink in and remembering that loving yourself is fundamental to loving others loving yourself does not mean being arrogant or spoiled loving yourself is a prerequisite to being a loving,
A truly loving person now once again breathing deeply and imagining the air flowing all the way through your body to the tips of your fingers to the toes,
Little ends of your toes and perhaps imagining even a color a bright light breathing in a bright blue light for example or pink or white,
Yellow what colors can you see as you breathe into your body and letting this air and this light push all these positive affirmations into yourselves breathing them deep into every cell of your body and remembering that affirmations work better when they're repeated because if we've been raised with negative programming over years it takes more than one go to reprogram but the beauty is we can change for the better and we can improve as beings and you are part of that change simply by taking the time to meditate so maybe give yourself a bit of love and appreciation for taking this time and when you're ready gently bringing some movement to your body having a stretch and when you're ready you can open your eyes
