It's easy for us all to wake up and jump to our to-do lists or our worries or challenges that can all create a sense of overwhelm and anxiety.
By allowing our attention to rest on gratitude,
We can return to a place of calm,
A place of groundedness,
And the simple reminder of what really matters to us.
Let's begin our day together by expanding the sensation of gratitude,
Drawing the inhale all the way in,
Exhaling all the way through,
Noticing the sensation of steadiness as the belly rises and as the belly falls,
Feeling that steady,
Simple rhythm of your in-breath and out-breath.
I'll invite you now to gently draw to mind a person,
A living being,
Or perhaps it's the simplicity of aliveness that you are grateful for in this moment.
Drawing to mind a person,
A living being,
Or perhaps it's the simplicity of aliveness that you are grateful for in this moment.
Bringing that gentle awareness now to your heart space and feeling the sensation of what really matters most to you to rest here,
Feeling that experience of expansion through the heart and noticing how with gratitude we can cultivate simplicity,
We allow our attention to rest on what we do have in our lives,
Lessening the sensations of overwhelm,
Lessening the sensations of complexity,
And resting gently on what really matters to us,
Allowing yourself to just be with this experience in this moment here and now,
Allowing yourself to focus on what you do have in this present moment that cultivates calm,
That cultivates simplicity,
What really matters most to you as you begin your day today,
Drawing your inhale in,
Feeling that expansion of spaciousness,
Of gratitude,
Of ease,
Exhaling all the way through.
Thank you so much for joining me.
May you live with ease today.
