Anxiety has a way of pulling us out of ourselves,
Rushing us into the next worry,
The next thing to fix.
This practice is an invitation to slow down and come back to yourself.
Nothing to solve,
Nothing to fix.
Find yourself a comfortable position and let your body simply slow down and settle in.
Let your body find the connection to the surface upon which it's making contact.
Now,
Take a long breath in and allow your full breath to release as you exhale.
And another long breath in and full breath out.
Allow your eyes to close or soften if it feels right as you continue to take a long breath in and full breath out.
There is no need to change anything right now.
We are allowing the body to find its own sense of being,
Allowing the breath to find its own natural pace.
As you breathe in,
Feel the strength of the breath as it enters into the body,
Filling up the lungs to its full capacity and allowing the breath to take on any pace that it needs to right now.
No forcing,
No fixing,
Just simply breathing.
As your breath begins to slow down,
Tune your attention inward.
What is your body signaling right now?
What sensations are you feeling right now?
Allow yourself to name the emotion or sensation.
No need to change,
Just noticing it as it is.
Give your body the permission to move as it needs to,
Allowing it to shift in any way that feels right.
Name the movement of your body and give notice to any changes that are occurring.
Immerse yourself in what your body is doing right now.
Give way to the motion of your body as it creates its own rhythm,
Just allowing,
Just giving permission to flow freely as it needs.
What is your body signaling right now?
Name the sensation.
And as you continue to breathe in and out naturally,
Where do you feel this sensation in your body?
Has a shift happened?
Just noticing without judgment.
Just allowing.
Just noticing without judgment.
As you continue to breathe,
Widen your awareness to the room.
Breathe and allow your body to come back as it chooses.
Give yourself permission to come back at any pace.
And when you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Take another full,
Deep breath in.
You have landed.
Continue to carry this stillness throughout the rest of your day.
