Hello and welcome to Autotelic Drive.
My name is Pauline Dugald and I'm the creator here and I am on a mission to create the space where we can explore various aspects of what makes us better,
What makes us optimized and essentially Autotelic Drive is all about internal motivation.
So here I speak about all the ways in which we can align within ourselves so that we can be motivated from within.
And in today's video,
I want to look at archetypal concepts once again.
This is my favorite way of exploring what is present in a moment and drawing different patterns out of what I see.
So I'm going to use the deck by Carolyn Mace that is represented by archetypes.
Because I find that archetypal energies are very prominent in every area of our life and they show themselves up as guides and as as an information for us to understand ourselves better.
So I draw the wisdom and information and intelligence from this approach and I share with you what I find.
So let's look into that and I will also use the Shaman's Dream Oracle.
Very lovely artwork that always inspires me when I use these cards for prompts for my inspiration.
So let's see and let's take a look and see where this takes us.
Whenever I use these cards,
Different meanings and different messages arrive.
And so if something shows up that speaks to you,
You can consider that a message.
A random occurrence that is carrying a specific message for you personally based on your situation and your questions in life and usually I draw a number of cards and then I see correlations among them and that gives me an idea what am I talking about and what am I seeing so Let's see what shows up and we'll just go with that.
So the first card that shows up is Child,
Nature.
Nature Child.
It is a very beautiful card and every archetypal card,
Here I'll show you.
Every archetype has a light side and a dark side to it.
So the light side to nature child is friendship with animals,
Communication with nature spirits.
But the shadow attribute of it is tendency to abuse animals,
People and the environment.
So when we look at the energy of a child in nature,
We could see those two dynamics.
Very loving approach,
But sometimes could be smothering.
This card is showing up for you,
Which side of it is presenting itself to you right now in the moment.
Are you being one with nature or you are maybe a little bit careless with something that is presenting itself to you?
Let's see what else he wants to.
Okay.
Number of cards showed up.
So one of them is angel,
Angel archetype,
And I will read the description in a second.
Beggar.
And one empty card,
Which I should have removed from the deck.
So the angel and the beggar.
Beggar light attributes are confronts in empowerment at the level of physical survival and awakens the spiritual authority of humility,
Compassion and self-esteem.
That is the good side,
The light side.
The shadow attribute is dependency on others to the exclusion of effort.
So begging for something instead of putting in the effort.
So together with Nature Child and The Beggar,
This shows me that there is a little bit of immature attitude present or immature energy that is showing itself up but there is also an angel card that is showing up which is significant as a guide the nature the light attribute of an angel is helping those in need with no expectations of return and the shadow attribute is acting innocent or angelic to mislead others falsely claiming to be in touch with angelic guidance so if we Look at these three cards that showed up,
The nature child,
The beggar and the angel.
It almost seems like there is a trajectory of innocence happening and maybe immaturity,
But also a guiding force of an angel that is overseeing,
Almost like a parent figure.
And that is the archetypal nature.
The archetypes live within us and we have multiplicity of archetypes all the time.
And they work together.
They always correlate and they always interact.
So it's important to see everything in the context of your life.
And actually,
Let's read a little bit more about the nature child.
Look for a lifelong pattern of relating to animals such that your psyche and spirit need these bonds for your own well-being.
So there is also a theme I'm noticing that there is a certain connection to nature and animals,
Animals specifically.
What is your relationship to nature right now?
Are you fully immersed?
Are you connecting with it or you may be resisting it?
So that is something to look at and I'm gonna read you a little bit about the angel card It is in a way is a fairy godmother godfather type of figure has a strong connection to the angelic realm Through art music and literature provides a channel through which angels presence is palpably manifested It shows a prominent loving and nurturing character.
Fairy godmother or godfather helps someone in need anonymously and with no expectation of any return.
Shadow angel manifests as a claim to be in touch with angelic guidance for the sake of control or ego enhancement or acting innocent or misleading others.
Look for a lifelong pattern of inspiring others spiritually or aesthetically.
So that is something about the angel and for the beggar.
For a beggar,
The message is look for a lifelong pattern of learning about the nature of generosity,
Compassion,
And self-esteem.
So there is a trend happening.
There's a clear trend between an angel and a beggar,
Because angel seems to be supporting beggar in its altruistic ways and helping without being acknowledged.
And the nature child is a direct correlation to nature.
So from all of that I see that there is a certain movement towards more connection with nature and perhaps even learning to be the angel and supporting others without expecting anything in return.
So activating the connection to the nature and animals in its lightest form and then using that to overcome the thoughts of beggar and being an angel.
So there's a trajectory of growth that I'm seeing in the dynamic and now I'm going to draw some cards from the Shaman's Dream Oracle and see what is the overarching energy of this moment and what message it is trying to tell us when it comes to this growth that we are seeing.
Stranger Curiosity is the card that came out first.
And I'm gonna draw a couple more to see you.
Magician's sword,
Confidence in your magic And the last one.
Overflow,
Overwhelm and plenty.
So from this.
.
.
I derive that The stranger cards talks about hesitancy to engage with others who you might not know well,
The curiosity that is being evoked when we are in a strange land but at the same time also hesitancy to go further because it is unknown.
So the stranger is all about the combination of curiosity and wanting to go forward but also fear of the unknown and fear what other people might do or might not do since you can't predict.
And.
.
.
Magician sword is speaks directly to the your own ability to create magic to create circumstances to discern the sword element is related to the idea of air in traditional tarot or the idea of mental energy and mind so when encountering stranger and magician sword at the same time I see the correlation that you have the knowledge within and confidence in your own self in order to determine whether the situation is dangerous or safe and whether you can engage with others without any worry and overflow is the final card that follows all of that because in the unknown is where everything exists because it's unknown it is scary but at the same time This is the land of innovation.
That is where magic comes from.
That is where all the beautiful things are brought forth by artists.
By going into the unknown and creating something out of it that has never been seen creating overwhelm and plenty through that action so going into considering what we have seen already nature child beggar and angel transference of internal power to become this angel figure going into the strange territory into the place of the unknown trusting your own ability discern and decide and differentiate and then coming up with amazing results that can benefit everybody and then that completes the circle in a way of creating wealth and abundance for everybody and being the contributing and supporting guide that can benefit and enhance everybody's life so in a way what I'm perceiving here is the journey of the magician the magician is the one of the major archetypes.
One of the archetypes that has been explored extensively by Jung in his early work and it has been visible in all kinds of books,
Media,
Films,
You name it.
There is four main archetypes,
King,
Warrior,
Magician and lover.
So magician is what I'm seeing right now.
It is the force of creativity.
That is somebody who goes into the unknown world and brings up a wealth of information and invents something that makes other lives better.
So through all of this I have seen this It's emergence through hesitation,
Through fear,
Through darkness,
Emergence of this artist,
This magician that is evolved enough to be connected with nature and then still be able to support others around them.
So if you identify with being a creative,
Being somebody who goes into unknown and constantly deals with new ideas and new projects,
Then this is the message for you,
To rely on your own instinct,
On your own ability to trust yourself,
To align,
And essentially that is intrinsic motivation,
That is the drive from within where you are able to Discover something,
Bring it forth and actualize it in physical reality.
So that is all I have for you today.
Trust this was helpful.
Come back here again for another message about how to stay connected to yourself,
How to be intrinsically motivated and continue on with your life in an expansive way and grow continuously.
So this is it for today and thank you very much for being here and watching and listening.
Until next time.
