"Yoni" is a Sanskrit word meaning "sacred space" and refers to a woman's entire sexual center. As women, we often carry shame, pain and trauma in this highly receptive energetic space. This gentle practice invites you to be present with this precious part of your being, breathing and bringing loving awareness to all parts of your yoni, so that you may soften and release any stagnant energy, allowing more space for creativity, wisdom, and ever-expansive pleasure to awaken within you.

Beautiful sister,

Welcome to your practice of yoni breathing.

Find a comfortable space to rest,

Either seated or lying down,

And lovingly claim these next 10 minutes as your sacred time to fully drop into your body.

Take a deep inhale,

Letting out with a big sigh,

Dropping any burdens,

Worries or distractions.

Arriving here in this moment,

Take another long,

Slow inhale through your nose,

Feeling your belly rise and expand,

And gently exhale out the mouth,

Feeling the belly come in towards the spine.

With each inhale,

You fill your body with peace and calm.

With each exhale,

You let go,

Softening into the support of Mother Earth.

As always,

Feel free to make any sounds on the exhale to help you release any stuck energy and drop into your primal body.

Begin to bring your awareness down into your pelvic bowl,

The home of your sexuality,

Pleasure,

Sensuality,

Power,

Creativity,

Vitality and wisdom.

Let all of your attention settle here in this sacred space.

Gently scan this area with your mind's eye,

Noticing any sensations or feelings with open-hearted curiosity and non-judgment.

Sense your womb,

Direct your breath into this cauldron of creation,

Feeling a gentle expansion and release as you inhale and exhale.

Sense how the uterus extends out into the fallopian tubes and ovaries.

Breathe into these powerful vessels of creative energy.

Notice any sensations.

With your inner vision,

Trace down the neck of the uterus into the cervix.

Breathe into this powerful portal of life,

Noticing any sensations.

Traveling down through the vaginal canal,

Softly breathing,

Notice if there is any tension or tightness here.

See if you can consciously ease this space,

Relaxing the muscles,

Spreading out the energy,

The way you might do with your body when floating effortlessly in warm water.

Observing any sensations with loving awareness.

Sense the labia,

Clitoris,

And intestine.

Breathing here,

Notice the perineum and anus.

Soften all tension.

Feel your entire yoni as this incredible center of pure life force energy.

Allow your awareness to be like a light,

Shining clarity and love into each and every cell.

Maybe there is a particular color that resonates with you in this moment,

And you can see this frequency of light spreading through the cells and tissues.

Allow your breath to be like warm,

Liquid honey flowing into all of the crevices,

Reminding each and every cell of its divine nature.

Melting into the bliss that is always here.

Breathing and envisioning your whole yoni circulating and pulsing with light,

With health and joy.

Notice if you can feel any pleasurable sensations beginning to awaken here.

A natural,

Innocent,

Innate pleasure that requires no doing,

No trying,

Just being.

Even if you can't feel it now,

Know that pleasure is here,

And as you continue to bring love and presence,

Any pain or numbness will dissolve in time.

Whatever you feel is perfect in this moment.

Rest for a few more moments in this beautiful space,

Breathing into your yoni with full adoration and presence.

Begin to seal your practice for now,

Bringing a hand to rest over your sex center and one to rest over your heart space.

Take a deep breath of gratitude for your beautiful body and for your sacred journey of coming home to yourself.

As you transition into the outer world,

See if you can carry this awareness with you.

If at any time you notice stress arise,

Or if you become disconnected from your body,

Your relaxation and pleasure,

See if you can drop your awareness back into your pelvis.

Invite your breath,

Relax and soften your sex center,

And feel this beautiful life force flowing within you.

Remembering that your true nature is bliss.
