Hello,
Welcome to day one of this three day spring renewal series.
Day one,
Trust the darkness.
I invite you to find your place of stillness,
Either seated or lying down,
Whatever is your practice.
Allow your eyes to soften and if comfortable,
Close.
Just observing your body and your breath.
And allow yourself to feel your body become heavy,
Held by the earth beneath you.
You have nowhere to be but here,
Deep in winter's quiet,
Soon to be spring.
Bring awareness to your breath,
Steady,
Faithful,
Unhurried.
Notice the gentle rise and complete release.
Root yourself with each exhale.
And we're going to breathe in for the count of four,
Hold for the count of two,
And then breathe out for the count of six.
Let us begin.
Breathe in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Two.
Breathe out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
And again,
Breathing in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
And now you're going to go at your own pace.
And it's okay if you change the counts,
Just try to have your exhales longer than your inhales.
Begin.
And deep beneath frozen ground,
Find a seed.
As you're breathing in,
Imagine this seed,
Small,
Dark,
Patient,
Complete.
And then as you're releasing,
Reminding yourself that it holds spring entire within its quiet shell.
Does not struggle.
It waits.
Trusting time.
Trusting season.
And then,
When ready,
Return to your own natural rhythm of breathing.
And allow yourself to feel your own roots reaching down through your feet,
Your spine,
Into the earth.
With each exhale,
Sink deeper into safety.
You are held.
You are enough exactly as you are.
Reminding yourself that this darkness is not empty.
It's rich soil working in your favor.
Every season of waiting was preparation.
You bloom not by trying harder,
But by trusting well.
Observing your breath.
Resting.
Staying here in the seat of consciousness,
Where you have nothing to prove,
Nothing to become.
Simply be perfect,
Patient,
Prepared.
Resting in that.
And on your next inhale,
I invite you to take a deep breath in,
An earth breath,
Holding two,
Three,
Four.
And then release two,
Three,
Four,
Six.
Feel your hands,
Your feet,
The earth beneath you.
They're carrying this root stillness,
Rooted into your day,
Rooted into your body.
Let's try that again.
I invite you to take in one deep earth breath,
Two,
Five.
And then exhale it out.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Six.
Feeling your hands,
Your feet,
The earth beneath you.
Allowing yourself to carry this rooted stillness into your day.
You are the seed.
Spring lives within you now.
