My name is Anissa and it's truly an honor,
A deep and genuine honor to welcome you to Return to Yourself,
A morning meditation series that I created with one person in mind,
You.
The one who woke up this morning and chose before anything else to come back to themselves.
That choice matters.
That choice is an act of love and I want you to feel that love from the very first breath.
This is a space I created with so much love for you,
For the people who are ready to slow down and to breathe,
To let go and to come back to themselves.
Each meditation here is a gift,
A moment that belongs entirely to you.
So whenever you need to find your peace,
Your faith,
Your stillness,
I'll be right here.
You can come back anytime.
You're always welcome.
Find a comfortable position,
Close your eyes and take a long slow breath in and out.
You're safe here and you don't have to figure out anything right now.
You don't have to hold it all together.
You just have to breathe.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and release it fully through your mouth.
Feel your body soften,
Your shoulders drop,
Your jaw unclenches and your hands open and with every exhale give yourself permission to arrive here,
Fully,
Completely,
Just as you are and notice if there's anything you've been carrying today,
A worry,
A tension,
A question with no answer yet.
You don't need to solve it.
Just notice it and breathe.
And place one hand on your heart.
Feel it beating,
Steady,
Faithful,
Without you even asking.
Your heart has never needed you to control it.
It just flows.
Right now I want to invite you to do the same.
Think of the things you've been holding on to so tightly,
The outcome you've been trying to force,
The timeline you've been trying to control,
The situation you've been trying to fix.
See it clearly in your mind and now imagine holding it in your open hands,
Not gripping it,
Just holding it gently and take a breath in and as you exhale,
Whisper to yourself,
I let it go.
Again,
Breathe in,
I let it go.
Feel the weight begin to lift.
You were never meant to carry this alone.
Letting go is not giving up.
Letting go is trusting that something greater is already at work.
So now bring your awareness back to your heart and remember a time when life surprised you,
When something didn't go as planned and then something better arrived.
Maybe it was unexpected,
Maybe it came quietly but it came.
That same force,
That same intelligence is alive in your life right now,
Working behind the scenes,
Moving things you cannot see,
Opening doors you haven't reached yet and you don't need to know how,
You don't need to know when,
You just need to trust.
So breathe in faith and exhale fear and breathe in trust and exhale doubt.
Breathe in surrender and exhale control and say it with me gently from your heart,
I trust the flow of my life,
I am guided,
I am supported and what is meant for me is already on its way.
Begin to deepen your breath now and slowly bring your awareness back to the room.
Feel the ground beneath you,
The air around you.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes and when you're ready gently open your eyes.
Carry the softness with you today.
When the urge to control rises,
Come back to your breath,
Come back to these words,
Let it go,
Let it flow and trust because you're exactly where you need to be.
