Moving forward with confidence,
A moving meditation for the transition with Angelica Janic.
Dealing with a move can be stressful and an overwhelming experience.
Whether you are moving across town or across the country,
It can be a significant change that requires a lot of adjustment.
During this time,
It's essential to take care of yourself and your mental health.
This meditation will guide you through a process of finding your inner calm and peace during the moving process.
Begin by finding a comfortable and quiet space where you can sit or lie down.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through the nose.
Feeling any tension in your body beginning to release.
Now visualize yourself standing in the middle of an empty room.
This room represents your old home and all the memories and experiences you had there.
Taking a few moments to acknowledge the emotions that come up when you think about leaving this space behind.
It's okay to feel sad.
Whenever the mind wanders too much or far into memory,
Bring yourself back to your breath.
You may try counting your breath to keep you grounded.
Let's try together.
Inhale for 5,
4,
3,
2.
Hold for 3,

Exhale for 5,
4,
3,

Hold for 3,

Inhale for 5,

Hold for 3.
Exhale for 5,

Hold for 3.
Noticing the subtle sensations throughout your body.
As you walk around your old home,
Feel a wave of gratefulness for all the positive memories and the memories that have taught you how to grow.
How to be better and how to strive.
As you make your peace in each room,
Imagine a door opening up in front of you.
This door represents the new home that you will be moving into.
As you take a step toward and through the door,
Feel a sense of excitement.
Allow yourself to be filled with a bright light.
As you visualize yourself entering a peaceful and serene space,
Take a few moments to explore this space and notice any details that stand out to you.
As you explore,
Imagine yourself carrying a backpack filled with all the emotions and experiences from your old home.
This backpack is heavy and it's weighing you down.
It's time to let go of these emotions and experiences so that you can fully embrace this new space,
Creating room to make new memories.
Visualize yourself sitting down in an area of this new space and taking off the backpack.
Set it down beside you and take a few deep breaths.
As you exhale,
Imagine all the negative emotions and experiences leaving your body and entering the backpack.
With each breath,
You feel yourself becoming lighter and more relaxed.
Visualize a light shining down on you from above.
This light represents the love and support of the universe.
Allow yourself to bask in this light,
Feeling its warmth and comfort.
As you sit in this space,
Take a few moments to reflect on what you want to create in your new home.
What kind of energy do you want to cultivate?
What kind of experiences do you want to have?
Allow yourself to dream big and set intentions for this near future.
I'll bring you back in a couple of minutes.
Continuing to breathe slow,
Deep and rhythmically.
Scanning your body from the crown of the head,
The tips of the toes and back to the crown of the head.
Do this a few more times,
Moving slowly in each bone,
Muscle,
Ligament,
Energy line as slow as you can.
Taking a few moments to notice any changes in how you feel.
You may feel it can be a challenging experience,
But it's also an opportunity for growth and new beginnings.
You can navigate the changes with more ease and grace.
On your next inhale,
Shrug the shoulders up to the earlobes.
Inhale,
Shoulders lift.
Exhale,
Out of the mouth,
Relaxing your shoulders down.
Let's do that two more times.
Inhale,
Shoulders up.
Exhale,
Out of the mouth.
Now,
Last time.
Inhale,
Shoulders up.
Breathe in.
Exhale,
Letting it go.
Taking as much time as you need before bringing yourself out of this meditation.
You can start by moving your fingers and toes first.
When you're ready,
To gently blink the eyes open,
Allowing the natural light to come back.
